Responsibilities
Product Development
- Design, build, and launch customer-facing features from end to end
- Collaborate with Product Managers and Designers to turn ideas into production-ready solutions
- Translate product requirements into scalable technical implementations
- Participate in product discovery and technical planning
Front-End Engineering
- Develop responsive, accessible web applications using React and TypeScript
- Build reusable UI components and contribute to our design system
- Optimize application performance and user experience across devices
- Collaborate with Design to deliver polished, production-quality interfaces
Platform & Operations
- Monitor application performance and system health
- Troubleshoot production issues and improve operational reliability
- Write automated tests and participate in code reviews
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes
Collaboration & Leadership
- Mentor engineers through code reviews and technical discussions
- Help establish engineering best practices and development standards
- Work cross-functionally with Product, Design, Customer Success, and Compliance teams
- Contribute to architectural decisions as the platform scales
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Full-Stack Development and Software Development, with experience owning features end-to-end
- Candidates should possess skills in Front-End Development and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) for building responsive, accessible, and intuitive user interfaces
- Candidates should possess skills in Back-End Web Development, including working with APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks
- Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, or Angular) and server-side technologies (e.g., Node.js, Python, or similar) is beneficial
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and version control (e.g., Git) is advantageous
- Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a focus on reliability, security, and performance in consumer-facing products are important
- Ability to collaborate in a cross-functional team, communicate clearly, and mentor other engineers is valued
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred
Preferred
- Experience building consumer-facing fintech, banking, lending, or payments products
- Familiarity with financial APIs such as Plaid, Stripe, or modern payment processors
- Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging systems
- Knowledge of authentication, authorization, and secure application design
- Experience working in regulated or compliance-driven environments
