Senior Manager- FullStack Development

KoiReader is building "Mission Control" for Industrial AI — real-time dashboards that turn massive streams of supply chain data, live camera feeds, and AI analytics into decisions that move the global supply chain. We're looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer who can own features end to end: architecting resilient GraphQL/REST APIs and data pipelines on the backend, and shipping fast, intuitive interfaces on the frontend. You'll set technical direction across the stack, make architecture calls that balance latency, scale, and security, and mentor the engineers around you as our platform and team grow.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End Feature Ownership: Architect and build full-stack features, from PostgreSQL schema design and Apollo GraphQL/REST APIs to React and Next.js interfaces, ensuring a seamless, low-latency experience from database to browser.
• System Architecture & Technical Leadership: Make and document architectural decisions around data modeling, API design, caching, and rendering strategy (SSR/SSG), balancing performance, scalability, and maintainability as the platform grows.
• Type-Safe, Production-Grade Code: Write clean, modular, well-tested TypeScript across both client and server, setting the standard for code quality through thoughtful design and thorough code reviews.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with AI, DevOps, product, and design teams to integrate computer vision and analytics data into polished, production-ready features.
• Mentorship & Technical Guidance: Mentor junior and mid-level developers on both frontend and backend practices, review their code, and help level up the team's engineering standards.
• Security & Reliability: Champion secure coding practices across the stack, including authentication/authorization (JWT, OAuth2, SSO), API security, and safe handling of sensitive supply chain data.
• Deployment & Operational Ownership: Work with DevOps to deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot services in production, contributing to CI/CD pipelines and containerized environments.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the technical liaison between the PMO, clients, and engineering teams, leveraging strong business acumen to elicit and understand project requirements.
• API Architecture: Translate complex business needs and strategic decisions into scalable, efficient integration API designs.
• Risk Management: Proactively monitor project health, identifying potential roadblocks and escalating critical issues to senior leadership for timely resolution.

Skills & Requirements

• 7+ years of professional full-stack development experience, with demonstrated ownership of complex, production-grade features from database to UI.
• Frontend: Strong hands-on expertise with React (Hooks) and Next.js, including SSR/SSG and app routing, plus modern styling approaches (Tailwind CSS, Styled Components, or CSS Modules).
• Backend: Proven experience building scalable services with Node.js (Express/Fastify) and designing efficient schemas, resolvers, and relational data models in PostgreSQL.
• API Layer: Deep experience with Apollo GraphQL (both server and client) and REST APIs, including schema design and performance optimization.
• TypeScript: Advanced proficiency in TypeScript across the full stack, using strict typing to prevent bugs and improve maintainability.
• Performance & Caching: Practical experience with Redis for caching, session management, or pub/sub, and a track record of diagnosing and resolving performance bottlenecks end to end.
• Leadership & Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to lead technical discussions, make architectural trade-offs, mentor other engineers, and communicate effectively across engineering, product, and design.
• Version Control & Workflow: Fluency with Git-based collaborative workflows, including PR reviews and branching strategies, at a senior/reviewer level.

Brownie Points

• Experience deploying and managing services on AWS or Azure (EC2, S3, Azure App Services, etc.).
• Working knowledge of Docker and CI/CD pipelines, including containerizing both frontend and backend services.
• Experience implementing JWT, OAuth2, or SSO integrations.
• Experience writing unit/integration tests (Jest, React Testing Library) as part of a quality-first engineering culture.
• Familiarity with charting/visualization libraries (Recharts, Chart.js) for complex data displays.
