Role Description The Design Sales Associate is a full-time, on-site role based in San Francisco, CA. The person in this role will welcome customers to the showroom, actively listen to their needs, and guide them through product options, customization features, and design solutions that fit their lifestyle and budget. Daily responsibilities include providing design consultations, preparing quotes, processing sales orders, and following up with customers to ensure a smooth purchasing and delivery experience. The Design Sales Associate will maintain an organized, visually appealing showroom, stay current on product lines and digital tools, and collaborate closely with the sales and customer experience teams to meet individual and store performance goals.
Qualifications
- Ability to provide design-focused guidance, including space planning, color coordination, and furniture selection to support customers’ aesthetic and functional needs.
- Strong sales and customer service skills, including consultative selling, active listening, and relationship building in a retail or showroom environment.
- Comfort working with digital tools and technology platforms, such as POS systems, CRM software, and online design or visualization tools.
- Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to explain product features, customization options, and policies in accessible language.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for managing multiple customer inquiries, orders, and follow-ups simultaneously.
- Ability to work on-site in San Francisco, CA, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Prior experience in furniture, interior design, or retail sales is preferred but not required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in design, art, or a related field is a plus.
