Compensation

We currently offer:

• $100/month base
• $5 for every new ForkMesh instance you generate
• Milestone-based bonuses
• Market-rate compensation after funding

We're preparing for a $1M angel round, so this is an opportunity to join early, take real ownership, and grow into a key role as the company expands.

About the Role

Join ForkMesh as our first marketing hire. You'll work directly with the founders to build a developer-first brand, grow the community, and drive product adoption.

This isn't a role for someone who waits for instructions. We're looking for someone who ships, experiments, measures results, and continuously improves. You'll have significant ownership over how ForkMesh reaches developers worldwide.

What You'll Do

• Own ForkMesh's marketing strategy and execution.
• Plan and execute launches across Hacker News, Product Hunt, Reddit, GitHub, X, YouTube, newsletters, Discord, conferences, and other developer communities.
• Publish high-quality content consistently using AI to scale without sacrificing quality.
• Write technical blogs, launch announcements, tutorials, comparison articles, founder stories, case studies, and social content.
• Create and manage campaigns across every relevant platform.
• Reach out to developers, creators, communities, companies, and partners through thoughtful outbound outreach.
• Build and maintain a strong social media presence using AI-assisted workflows.
• Build repeatable growth systems for acquisition, activation, and community engagement.
• Improve landing pages, messaging, positioning, and conversion funnels.
• Track analytics, identify winning channels, and double down on what works.
• Use ForkMesh daily as a power user and beta tester.
• Report bugs, UX issues, onboarding friction, and product improvement ideas directly to the founders.
• Represent the voice of users and help shape the product.

What We're Looking For

• Proven ability to grow products, communities, or brands with measurable results.
• Excellent writing and storytelling skills.
• Strong understanding of AI tools for content creation, research, automation, and marketing workflows.
• Ability to create high-quality content efficiently and consistently.
• Experience with developer tools, SaaS, open source, infrastructure, or B2B products is a strong advantage.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong personal online presence is a plus.
• Self-driven and comfortable making decisions without constant supervision.
• Thrives in a fast-moving startup environment.
• Excited about decentralization, open source, and empowering developers.

Requirements

• Portfolio or proof of previous marketing work.
• Examples of campaigns, launches, communities, or brands you've helped grow.
• Strong understanding of developer audiences.
• Experience with AI-powered marketing workflows.
