About NyaayOS
NyaayOS is an AI-powered legal-tech platform built for the Indian legal ecosystem.
We help lawyers research, draft, manage matters, and practise law more efficiently using AI built specifically for Indian legal work.
We are an early-stage startup based in Mumbai, combining legal expertise with agentic AI systems and our own 7-Gate verification framework. We are not just adding an AI layer on top of existing tools - we are building the core infrastructure for how legal work will be done in India.
Joining NyaayOS means becoming part of an early team with high ownership, real product impact, and the opportunity to shape our technology, culture, and long-term direction from the ground up.
About the Role
- We are looking for a Business Manager – Dispute Resolution to lead the development and commercial success of our Dispute Resolution product within our Legal AI platform. This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of litigation, arbitration, tribunals, and legal operations, combined with the ability to drive product execution and business outcomes.
- As a key member of the team, you will work closely with founders, legal practitioners, law firms, corporate legal teams, product managers, and AI engineers to build AI-native solutions that transform how disputes are managed across courts, tribunals, and arbitration forums in India.
- You will own the Dispute Resolution module end-to-end as well as responsible for P&L. The role requires a unique blend of legal expertise, commercial acumen, stakeholder management, and execution excellence to ensure that customer needs are translated into scalable and impactful product solutions.
What You Will Own
- Own the Dispute Resolution sub-product end-to-end, from solutioning to commercial outcomes.
- Own the full commercial and P&L accountability for the Dispute module, including pricing, licensing model, revenue targets, cost base, and margin.
- Define the case/dispute data structure and workflow logic for the Dispute module, translating litigation and tribunal practice experience into concrete product specifications.
- Work closely with litigators, law firms, in-house legal teams, and tribunal practitioners to understand dispute workflows, pain points, and opportunities for AI-native tooling.
- Run structured customer-side pilots and functional experiments to validate use cases and product-market fit for the Dispute module.
- Translate customer and market feedback into functional requirements and solution iterations.
- Collaborate with Data Engineering and RAG & AI teams to define case data models, precedent structuring, and legal accuracy standards across Supreme Court, High Court, and Tribunal jurisprudence
- Build and defend the business case for the Dispute module, both as a standalone offering and as a future embedded feature within NyaayOS.
- Ensure the Dispute module roadmap stays architecturally aligned with core NyaayOS, working closely with the Product Lead and Founder's Office.
- Own the eventual handoff of the Dispute module into the core NyaayOS roadmap once it graduates from sub-product to feature.
- Stay closely informed on developments in AI, legal-tech, and litigation/dispute-resolution practice relevant to the Indian legal market.
What We Are Looking For
- Law degree with few years of legal practice, non-negotiable.
- Hands-on court practice experience across Supreme Court, High Court, and Tribunals, non-negotiable.
- MBA preferred, not mandatory. Candidates without an MBA will be considered if they can demonstrate equivalent commercial and strategic acumen.
- Demonstrated experience owning commercial or P&L outcomes, or strong enough strategic/consulting exposure to take on P&L ownership directly.
- Ability to work directly with litigators and legal domain experts, converting case workflow insights into structured product decisions.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking, with comfort operating at the intersection of litigation, product, and commercial functions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management, able to work across engineering, AI, design, and founder-level stakeholders.
- Strong execution mindset with attention to legal and commercial detail.
Nice to Have
- Exposure to litigation-tech, case management systems, or legal research platforms.
- Familiarity with AI-powered, GenAI, LLM, or workflow automation products.
- Experience working in an early-stage or high-growth startup.
- Understanding of case data taxonomy, precedent structuring, or dispute analytics.
