We are looking for a full-stack software engineer who can help us build the first real version of the rooh product.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Product Engineer / Full-Stack Engineer to work closely with our founder, product manager, and product designer to build rooh’s product experience from scratch. This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who can think like a product builder, make smart technical decisions, and move quickly in an early-stage environment. You will help build the core platform across frontend, backend, database, admin workflows, personalization, search, recommendations, analytics, and integrations.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build rooh’s new web product from the ground up.
• Develop responsive frontend experiences for discovery, browsing, expert/resource pages, experience detail pages, onboarding flows, personalization flows, and user profiles.
• Build backend systems for experiences, users, bookings, inquiries, and admin workflows.
• Create or integrate a CMS/admin dashboard for managing experiences, experts, content, categories, publishing, and platform data.
• Implement search, filters, saved experiences, user preferences, and personalized discovery features.
• Build or integrate AI-powered features such as onboarding quizzes, preference matching, semantic search, AI-assisted content tagging, and recommendation logic.
• Work with APIs, analytics tools, email tools, CRM systems, automation tools, and future payment or booking integrations where needed.
• Set up database architecture, authentication, hosting, version control, deployment, security, and performance monitoring.
• Collaborate closely with the product manager on requirements, technical tradeoffs, MVP scope, and roadmap and product designer to bring high-quality product designs to life.
• Implement analytics and event tracking to understand user behavior, engagement, drop-offs, and conversion.
• Ensure the product is fast, secure, reliable, and easy to maintain.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong full-stack engineering experience.
• Experience building modern web applications from scratch.
• Strong frontend experience with React, Next.js, TypeScript, or similar frameworks.
• Backend experience with Node.js, Python, Supabase, Firebase, PostgreSQL, or similar technologies.
• Ability to design clean database structures and APIs.
• Experience integrating third-party APIs and automation tools.
• Strong product sense and ability to make technical decisions based on user experience and business goals.
• Interest in AI-powered personalization, recommendation systems, semantic search, and intelligent product experiences.
• Ability to work independently, communicate clearly, and move quickly in an early-stage environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Nice to Have

• Experience building marketplaces, booking platforms, travel products, event platforms, or consumer products.
• Experience with AI/ML, LLM APIs, embeddings, semantic search, recommendation systems, or personalization systems.
• Experience with no-code/low-code tools, CMS platforms, Airtable, Webflow, WordPress, or automation tools.
• Experience with Stripe, calendar integrations, email automation, or CRM tools.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or similar.
• Experience working with early-stage founders or startups.
