We are building a more curated, personal way for people to discover meaningful experiences. We are reimagining our current website and product experience from the ground up, with a focus on better discovery, stronger engagement, personalization, and a more seamless booking journey.

We are looking for a product-minded designer who can help turn rooh into a beautiful, intuitive, and emotionally engaging digital product.

Role Overview

As our Product Designer, you will lead the design of rooh’s new product experience from scratch. You will work closely with the founder, product manager and engineering team to understand users, define the core product journey, design high-quality interfaces, and create a product experience that feels premium, trustworthy, and personal. This is a hands-on role for someone who can think strategically but also execute quickly.

Responsibilities

• Redesign the end-to-end user journey for discovering and booking experiences.
• Conduct user research and competitive analysis to understand what users need.
• Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
• Design the homepage, discovery pages, experience detail pages, booking/request flow, onboarding quiz, and user profile concepts.
• Think through personalization features such as recommendations based on mood, interests, location, occasion, or group type.
• Build a clean and scalable design system for rooh.
• Improve trust, clarity, storytelling, and conversion across the product.
• Collaborate with the engineer to ensure designs are technically realistic and implemented well.
• Test designs with users and iterate based on feedback.
• Help define the overall product feel, visual direction, and interaction patterns.

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of experience in product design, UX/UI design, or consumer product design.
• Strong portfolio showing web or mobile product design work.
• Experience designing consumer-facing products, marketplaces, booking platforms, lifestyle products, travel products, wellness products, or experience-based platforms.
• Strong UX thinking
• Ability to turn vague ideas into clear product flows
• Comfortable working in Figma.
• Ability to move fast, communicate clearly, and work independently.
• Interest in building something from zero to one.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with personalization, recommendation flows, quizzes, onboarding or or AI-assisted product experiences.
• Experience designing for hospitality, travel, events, wellness, lifestyle, or marketplaces.
• Basic understanding of frontend development constraints.
• Familiarity with AI tools for research, ideation, prototyping, and design workflows.
• Experience working with early-stage founders or startups.
