The Role

We are looking for an Engineering Manager with 6 to 8 years of total experience who still loves technology but is ready to amplify their impact through leading people. In this role, you will lead a high-performing squad of full-stack engineers building the future of our cross-border wealth platform.
You will manage both frontend and backend systems, ensuring high architectural standards while fostering a culture of ownership, mentorship, and execution. This role requires a strong technical foundation in Java and a deep understanding of modern web architectures.

What You’ll Do

People Leadership: Lead, mentor, and grow a talented team of software engineers, helping them map out their career paths and achieve their potential.
Technical Steering: Act as a technical anchor. You will drive architectural decisions across both backend (Java/Node.js) and frontend (React.js) systems, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
Execution & Delivery: Own the engineering roadmap for your squad. Work closely with Product Managers and Designers to scope, estimate, and deliver complex features on time.
System Architecture: Guide the team in designing high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems capable of handling high TPS (Transactions Per Second).
Engineering Culture: Establish and champion engineering best practices, including robust code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, and technical documentation.

What We’re Looking For

Required Skills & Experience:
Experience: 6–8 years of overall software development experience, with at least 1–2 years in a dedicated leadership or management role (Lead Engineer, Tech Lead, or Engineering Manager).
Java Expertise: Deep technical proficiency in Java and core backend ecosystem concepts (Spring Boot, Microservices, Concurrency).
Full-Stack Overseer: Proven track record managing or deeply working with both backend services and frontend architectures (ideally React.js and React Native).
Scale & Architecture: Strong experience with distributed systems, API design, and scaling platforms to handle high transaction volumes.
Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, empathy, and conflict-resolution skills. You know how to balance business demands with engineering health.

Bonus Points If You Have:

Experience working in high-growth, fast-paced FinTech environments.
Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS) and modern DevOps practices (Docker, Kubernetes).
A strong philosophy on data-driven engineering metrics (e.g., DORA metrics).
