About the job

Company

We are building an AI fundraising workflow platform for founders, filmmakers, and independent companies that need a smarter way to identify investors, build targeted outreach lists, personalize communication, manage follow-up, and convert fundraising activity into meetings.

The product sits at the intersection of founder-led fundraising, investor CRM, AI research agents, personalized outreach, and workflow automation. The first wedge is independent film and media financing, where fundraising is highly manual, relationship-driven, fragmented, and underserved by existing software. The broader opportunity is a fundraising operating system for founders, creators, and companies raising capital outside traditional venture paths.

This is a true ground-floor technical cofounder opportunity.

Role

We are looking for a Technical Cofounder who can own the product and engineering function from zero to MVP and beyond.

The ideal person is a strong full-stack engineer with hands-on experience building LLM-powered products, agentic workflows, automation systems, and modern web applications. You should be comfortable both writing core production code yourself and managing a small team of early technical contributors/interns.

This is not a normal employee role. This is a founder-level opportunity for someone who wants to help shape the company, product, architecture, engineering culture, and long-term technical moat from the beginning.

What You’ll Build

You will help design and build an AI-powered fundraising workflow product that can support:

Investor and lead research
Automated list building and enrichment
AI-assisted investor matching
Personalized email and outreach generation
CRM-style tracking of investor conversations
Fundraising campaign dashboards
Follow-up sequencing and reminders
Document/data-room workflow support
Agentic research and task execution
Eventually, multi-project and multi-user team workflows

The product should feel like an intelligent fundraising command center, not just another CRM.

Responsibilities

Own technical architecture, product engineering, and development execution
Build the MVP full-stack application from the ground up
Design and implement LLM/agentic workflows for research, personalization, and automation
Contribute heavily to the codebase yourself
Manage and guide early unpaid technical interns/contributors where legally and practically appropriate
Break product requirements into clear engineering tasks
Review code, set development standards, and keep contributors moving
Help make technical product decisions around stack, infrastructure, database design, AI tooling, security, and scalability
Work directly with the founder on product strategy, customer discovery, fundraising use cases, and go-to-market
Help turn early user feedback into an actionable roadmap
Build toward a product that can support both the initial film-finance wedge and broader founder fundraising markets

Ideal Background

We are especially interested in someone with experience in:

Full-stack web application development
React / Next.js or similar frontend frameworks
Node.js, Python, or comparable backend environments
PostgreSQL, Supabase, Firebase, or similar database/backend platforms
LLM application development using OpenAI, Anthropic, LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar tools
Agentic workflows, AI automation, research agents, or AI copilots
CRM, sales automation, investor relations, fundraising, or workflow software
Leading small engineering teams, interns, contractors, or technical contributors
Shipping scrappy MVPs quickly without overengineering

You do not need to have worked in film or entertainment, but an interest in founder-led fundraising, independent media, venture workflows, creator businesses, or AI productivity software is a major plus.

What We’re Looking For Personally

We want someone who is:

Highly self-directed
Comfortable with ambiguity
Able to make technical decisions without waiting for perfect information
Strong at turning messy business requirements into clean product architecture
Willing to build fast, test fast, and iterate
Interested in owning the technical side of a company from day one
Capable of managing junior contributors without slowing down their own coding output
Excited by the possibility of building something large from a very early stage
Compensation / Equity

This is an equity-based cofounder role.

The intended equity package is up to 50% founder equity, subject to final agreement, vesting, role scope, contribution level, and legal structuring.

At this stage, the company is pre-revenue / pre-funding, so this is best suited for someone who is able to contribute significant early work in exchange for meaningful ownership rather than salary. As the company raises capital or generates revenue, we would revisit cash compensation and long-term operating structure.

Why This Is Interesting

Most fundraising software is built around static CRMs, generic outreach tools, or investor databases. Founders still spend enormous amounts of time manually researching leads, guessing who is relevant, writing cold emails, tracking conversations, and keeping fundraising materials organized.

The opportunity is to build an intelligent system that helps founders move through the entire fundraising workflow: research, targeting, personalization, outreach, follow-up, pipeline tracking, and decision support.

The first market gives us a sharp wedge: independent film and media financing, where fundraising is painful, relationship-based, and under-tooled. The long-term market is much larger: any founder or creator who needs to raise money without an institutional fundraising machine behind them.

Stage

We are at the earliest stage: product concept, workflow mapping, initial product requirements, and MVP planning. This is the right time for a technical cofounder to join because the core architecture and product direction are still being shaped.

You would not be joining someone else’s finished plan. You would be helping design the plan.
