Sr. Software Engineer - Fullstack

We are building a world where no patient has to die of cancer. Our FDA-cleared flagship product, Unfold AI, reveals the invisible cancer that doctors miss, enabling oncologists to achieve better treatment outcomes while preserving patients’ quality of life.

Unfold AI is a multi-modal AI platform that combines a patient’s diagnostic data together (from EHR, PACS, and other healthcare systems) to create an interactive 3D map of the patient’s cancer, enabling more precise and personalized treatment. These maps have been validated in recent clinical studies to significantly improve patient care and cancer treatment outcomes.

Unfold AI represents a generational leap in cancer treatment, but we need your help to bring it to everyone. Specifically, we need your help to design and build end-to-end features into Unfold AI. Are you up for the challenge to shape the future of cancer care?

What you will do:

• Own Projects - Design and build new features, end-to-end. using Python, Go, and React to power Unfold AI.
  
• Build Robust Testing – Build automated testing to validate the user experience, performance, and reliability of Unfold AI.
• Bring Doctors and Patients Joy – Help remove workflow steps and save doctors time. Make it easy to bring Unfold AI into the operating room to improve patient care.

What you will bring:

• Experience:
  • 7+ years of experience in fullstack software development. Comfortable on the frontend and backend.
  • You have designed, implemented, and maintained a fullstack cloud application.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
• Skills:
  • Backend Programming Expertise – Proficiency in Python and Go or equivalent.
  • Frontend Programming Expertise – Proficiency in React and state management (Redux, Context API) or equivalent. (Experience with 3D Graphics – WebGL, Three.js, OpenGL, Unity, etc. is a plus)
    
  • Database Design and Management – Deep understanding of database architecture. We use Postgres and DynamoDB.
  • Cloud Platforms – Expertise in building scalable and secure cloud infrastructure on AWS or equivalent.
  • Testing Frameworks – You have experience with unit, integration, and load testing tools.
  • Technical Writing – You can write detailed specifications and clear technical documentation.
  • Professional Communication – You know how to collaborate with engineers and communicate with stakeholders.
  • System observability tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog) for monitoring, logging, and alerting.
  • Automated deployment and configuration tools for integration frameworks (e.g. Gitlab Pipelines, Jenkins, Github Actions, etc.).
  • Familiarity with medical imaging (MRI + Ultrasound) and hands-on experience with AI algorithms integration is a plus.
  • Experience in medical device development or a regulated field is preferred.

What we offer in return:

• Salary compensation in the range $170,000-$200,000 and equity compensation in the range 0.1-0.25%.
• Full benefits package including health, vision, and dental.
• Every other Friday off in addition to 15 days PTO + holidays.
• Weekly summaries of the exact number of cancer patients that your work has helped.
