The Position:

LendingTree is seeking a Product Manager to lead our experimentation and funnel optimization efforts across digital experiences. This role will be pivotal in enhancing user experiences and driving revenue growth through rigorous A/B and multivariate testing. You will be responsible for managing and scaling a comprehensive experimentation program and working collaboratively with product, marketing, design, engineering, and analytics teams to continuously improve funnel performance and user engagement. A critical component of this role will be balancing deep analysis with creative problem-solving and exceptional stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Management: Design and oversee end-to-end A/B and multivariate testing strategies, from hypothesis generation to execution and analysis, ensuring statistical rigor and alignment with key business objectives. Create processes to scale experimentation while delivering quick results.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Partner with product, marketing, design, analytics, and business leadership teams to identify, prioritize, and execute experiments that improve the customer journey across digital touchpoints for multiple lines of business. Effectively communicate experiment findings and insights to stakeholders across the organization, including executive leadership.
  • Champion Customer Experience: Identify and advocate for user experience improvements, ensuring that experimentation strategies align with customer needs and pain points while driving business goals such as higher engagement, conversion, and retention.
  • Roadmap & Prioritization: Coordinate across multiple departments to understand needs and opportunities. Develop and manage a rolling, prioritized testing roadmap that is aligned with overarching business and user experience goals.
  • KPI Tracking & Reporting: Ongoing tracking of key performance metrics. Assess experiment effectiveness and provide clear, actionable reporting on test results. Provide regular updates to leadership on the performance of experimentation programs, offering insights to inform product and business strategy
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Demonstrated ability to identify areas for improvement within product workflows. Leveraging data and insights to drive measurable enhancements in performance, usability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Mentorship & Team Development: Mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of experimentation and continuous learning with the end user in mind. Help shape the organization’s experimentation practices and evangelize data-driven decision-making across teams.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in product management or experimentation roles, with a strong focus on A/B testing, multivariate experiments, and direct to consumer digital experiences.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Data Analytics, or related field.
  • Proven track record of identifying growth opportunities, driving measurable improvements in conversion rates, user engagement, and business metrics through rigorous testing and optimization strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to move initiatives forward quickly in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
  • Experience with traffic acquisition through multiple digital marketing channels (e.g., paid search, display ads, SEO, social) and media buying strategies. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders using data and experiment results.
  • Strong understanding of customer experience principles, the ability to recognize phenomenal design and design experiments with user-centric focus.
  • Experience with experimentation tools (e.g., Optimizely, VWO, Adobe Target), web analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics), and BI tools (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI) all a plus.
  • Familiarity with experimentation methodologies (e.g., Bayesian statistics, multi-arm bandit testing).
  • Advanced data analysis skills with the ability to draw actionable insights from complex datasets and provide clear recommendations to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in agile product development environments.
  • Experience working in financial services, lead generation, or a similar industry is preferred, but not required.

ABOUT THE COMPANY

LendingTree is the nation’s largest online lending marketplace. That means we connect customers with multiple lenders, so they find the best deals on loans, credit cards, savings accounts and insurance. Our goal is to help people save money, and we believe the best way to do that is by giving them a way to shop for loans and compare lenders, so they make their best financial choices.

Our founder, Doug Lebda, founded the company in 1996 after a frustrating house-hunting experience. In those days, we mostly helped people find good mortgage deals. Now, we help consumers find their best in personal loans, auto loans, business loans, student loans, credit cards, savings accounts, home equity loans and more.

The base pay range for this position in Seattle/New York/Colorado/California is $120,000-$160,000 however, base pay offered may vary depending on internal factors, job-related knowledge, and experience.

Our teammates are some of the brightest, most talented people you’ll ever work with. We care more about your smarts than we do about the kinds of clothes you wear (but please, do wear clothes to work!), and we’re pretty good about rewarding innovation, creativity and the knack for just getting stuff done (we even have an award for employees called the GSD, “Get Stuff Done”).

Come work with us!

Perks

401k matching
While we’d love people to work here forever, you really should plan for the days after your retirement party. To help the Company will match 50% of your 401K contributions into our plan up to the first 6%.
Unlimited PTO
Yes, we are all adults here! This doesn’t mean you can take off all the work days in months with an “r”. It means we all know that we need to get our work done and keep our bosses happy, even while we take some time off work.
Catered lunches (Charlotte office)
What’s better than the craft table at a movie shoot? OK that may be a bit of an oversell since you probably won’t meet any movie stars at our lunches…but it’s just $3!
In house gym and trainers
Who has time for a workout? We do, especially when our personal trainer offers classes – before, during and after work hours. We even have two workout rooms in the Charlotte office.
Innovative work environment
This one should be obvious as you learn more about LendingTree. What other company includes the things we’ve listed in their recruiting site?
Cash bonuses
We are not talking about a “participation ribbon” for showing up! We pay cash bonuses twice a year to all our employees when we hit our goals for a quarter.
