Senior Project Engineer

We are looking for a proactive and driven Project Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the end-to-end execution of customer projects, from on-site installation and system readiness to post-deployment support.

You will work closely with customers and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered smoothly, safely, and on time. The role involves coordinating activities at customer locations, supporting system checks, documenting project progress, and building strong relationships with customer teams.

The key responsibilities includes:

• Project Planning & Execution

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of robotics and automation projects across Southeast Asia, ensuring successful deployment and customer acceptance.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, milestones, budgets, resources, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate installation, commissioning, and activation activities at customer sites in collaboration with engineering and deployment teams.
  • Ensure projects are executed according to agreed scope, timelines, quality standards, and customer requirements.

• Stakeholder & Customer Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Build strong relationships with customer operations, engineering, and maintenance teams.
  • Facilitate effective communication between customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage project expectations, escalations, and change requests proactively.

• Technical Project Oversight

  • Oversee system integration, testing, commissioning, and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) activities.
  • Support technical decision-making and coordinate resolution of issues related to AMRs, robotics software, navigation systems, PLCs, and automation infrastructure.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, operational requirements, and industry standards.
  • Review deployment documentation, commissioning reports, checklists, and acceptance records to ensure quality and completeness.

• Risk & Quality Management

  • Identify project risks, dependencies, and potential operational challenges early and implement mitigation plans.
  • Monitor project performance and drive corrective actions to maintain delivery schedules.
  • Ensure high-quality, predictable project outcomes and continuous improvement across deployments.
  • Escalate critical safety, technical, or operational concerns and coordinate resolution with relevant teams.

• Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate closely with engineering, software, product, operations, and commercial teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Coordinate knowledge transfer activities, version upgrades, and deployment readiness reviews.
  • Support smooth project handover to customer support and operations teams during hypercare and post-deployment phases.
  • Prepare and present regular project status reports highlighting progress, risks, challenges, and resolutions.

• Regional Support

  • Support deployments and customer engagements across Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and other regional markets as required.
  • Travel domestically and internationally to customer sites for project execution, stakeholder meetings, and critical deployment activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field
• 5 to 8 years of experience in robotics, automation, or industrial systems
• Solid understanding of robotic systems including actuators, sensors, and control systems
• Proficiency in ROS (Robot Operating System) and Python programming
• Strong hands-on technical skills including mechanical assembly, soldering, and crimping
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to thrive in dynamic, fast-paced, collaborative environments
• English mandatory; Mandarin an advantage
• Willingness to travel extensively (70% field / 30% office)
