**Application Developer (Mid-Level)

About the Role**

SitScape is seeking a motivated, career-driven, and customer-oriented Application Developer to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a junior to mid-level developer who is passionate about building innovative applications, solving technical challenges, and working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

The selected candidate will assist in the design, development, implementation, testing, and maintenance of software applications based on user and client needs. This individual should be eager to learn new technologies, contribute ideas, and support projects from concept through deployment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain web and application-based solutions based on business and client requirements
• Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions and application features
• Research similar applications and technologies to support product innovation and enhancements
• Perform application testing, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and performance issues
• Assist with application updates, enhancements, and feature releases
• Create and maintain technical documentation for users, operators, and internal development teams
• Collaborate with team members on project strategies, testing plans, and execution
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to automation, scalability, monitoring, and system optimization
• Participate in agile development processes and contribute to team discussions, planning, and problem-solving
• Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and development best practices

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in application development
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools, prompt engineering, AI APIs, and emerging generative AI technologies.
• Experience understanding client requirements and translating them into functional application features
• Experience performing testing using sample datasets and supporting user acceptance testing
• Experience with unit and integration testing processes
• Experience debugging applications and resolving software issues
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience creating technical and end-user documentation
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Experience supporting or introducing enterprise technologies, automation solutions, and scalable processes
• Understanding of software development lifecycle processes and optimization strategies

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and mobile libraries
• Experience writing automated tests
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
• Experience with open-source testing tools such as Puppeteer or Selenium WebDriver
• Experience developing, integrating, or leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and Large Language Models (LLMs) such as Claude, ChatGPT/OpenAI, Gemini, or similar platforms to improve application functionality, automation, workflows, user experiences, and business processes.
• Understanding of responsible AI practices, model limitations, and opportunities for incorporating AI-driven solutions into enterprise applications.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and software platforms
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent technical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work effectively in an agile, fast-paced environment
• Self-motivated with a proactive mindset and willingness to take initiative
• Passion for continuous learning, collaboration, and process improvement
