About the job
We're hiring at BRIIDGE. Here's why this isn't a typical design job.
BRIIDGE is an AI-powered self-understanding platform. Users talk to Shirin, an AI companion grounded in 10 validated psychological dimensions, and every conversation builds a progressively accurate Living Profile. No quizzes. No forms. Just conversation that actually remembers, learns, and compounds over time.
We are a small team of 5, building something that sits in a space no product currently occupies: the intersection of conversational AI, structured psychological profiling, and relationship intelligence. Mental health apps fail at 4% fifteen-day retention because they treat every session as disposable. We are building the opposite of that.
We are looking for a UI/UX Designer to join our team remotely, on a contract or part-time basis for 4–5 months.
What you will work on:
You will be shaping the visual and interaction language of a product that sits at the intersection of AI conversation, psychological depth, and human trust. You will design interfaces for the Shirin conversation experience, the Living Profile, and the broader mobile app. You will work closely with the founding team to ensure that every screen, transition, and micro-interaction communicates safety, intelligence, and continuity.
This is a closed beta product with real users. You will not be producing mood boards that live in a Figma archive. You will be designing production screens that ship.
What we work with (general):
Figma (primary design tool)
React Native mobile app (cross-platform)
A design system that needs to be built and maintained
Close collaboration with engineering from day one
A product with deeply specified requirements and locked feature specs
Must have:
Strong visual design sensibility with a portfolio that demonstrates UI craft — typography, spacing, colour, and hierarchy handled with intention.
Experience designing for mobile (iOS and/or Android), ideally in a product context rather than agency alone.
Ability to move from concept to high-fidelity quickly without sacrificing coherence.
Genuine interest in building a product that operates in the mental health and self-understanding space. This domain demands empathy and precision in equal measure.
Nice to have:
Experience designing conversational or AI-driven interfaces.
Familiarity with design systems and component libraries.
Background in healthcare, mental health tech, or therapy-adjacent products.
Ability to think through UX flows end-to-end, not just individual screens.
Experience collaborating directly with engineers in a fast-moving startup environment.
What makes this different:
You are not joining a team where design is an afterthought bolted on after engineering. We have a clearly defined product vision, a ratified architecture, and a deep belief that the way this product feels is as important as what it does. You will understand the psychological framework behind every screen you design. The product is real, the users are real, and the domain demands care.
If this resonates, send me a message or apply below. I would love to hear from you.
