Business Development Manager (BDM)

About the Role

We are looking for a smart, confident, and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our Abuja team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, closing sales, and driving revenue growth.

This role is best suited for someone who understands sales, networking, client acquisition, partnerships, and business growth. You must be proactive, persuasive, target-oriented, and able to represent the company professionally.

Key Responsibilities
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within Abuja and surrounding markets.
Generate quality leads through networking, referrals, cold outreach, events, partnerships, and digital channels.
Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients.
Present company products, services, and investment/business opportunities to potential clients.
Develop and execute strategies to increase sales, revenue, and market penetration.
Meet and exceed assigned sales targets and KPIs.
Prepare proposals, presentations, and business pitches for prospective clients.
Negotiate deals and close sales professionally.
Track sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline progress using company-approved tools.
Conduct market research to identify trends, competitors, and growth opportunities.
Represent the company at meetings, networking events, exhibitions, and business forums.
Work closely with the marketing and operations teams to improve lead conversion and customer experience.
Provide regular reports on sales performance, market feedback, and business development activities.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Economics, or a related field.
Minimum of 2–4 years’ experience in business development, sales, client acquisition, or relationship management.
Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
Strong knowledge of the Abuja business environment is an advantage.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Strong networking and relationship-building ability.
Confident, professional, and highly persuasive.
Ability to work independently and under pressure.
Good understanding of sales pipelines, lead generation, and customer conversion.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, CRM tools, and basic digital communication platforms.
Must be resident in Abuja or willing to work full-time in Abuja.
Preferred Skills
Experience in real estate, investment, financial services, consulting, training, or high-ticket sales.
Existing network of business owners, professionals, investors, or corporate decision-makers in Abuja.
Ability to speak confidently at meetings and business presentations.
Strong follow-up discipline and closing ability.
