About the job
Build the operating system for creator commerce.
Lumo is building the AI operating system behind TikTok Shop and Instagram affiliate marketing.
We help brands discover creators, automate outreach, manage affiliate relationships, track performance, and scale creator-led revenue, without the spreadsheets, fragmented tools, and manual workflows that currently dominate the industry.
Think:
Salesforce meets creator commerce.
Linear meets influencer marketing.
AI agents replacing repetitive agency work.
We’re already live with paying brands and are now expanding into Instagram while building the next generation of AI-native tooling for social commerce.
We’re a very small team moving very fast:
• CTO
- QA • AI Engineer • 2 Founders
This is not a maintenance role. You’ll help shape the product, architecture, and direction of the company from an early stage.
The Role
We’re looking for a true product engineer.
Someone genuinely comfortable moving across the stack and shipping features end-to-end, from database schema to backend router to polished frontend UI.
You’ll work directly with the Founding Engineer and AI Engineer across both the TikTok and Instagram products, helping build systems used daily by real brands managing creator campaigns at scale.
You should enjoy:
• owning features from idea to production
• building clean product experiences
• thinking deeply about UX and system design
• working quickly without sacrificing quality
• reading existing systems and extending them properly
• startup environments with high ownership and low bureaucracy
The codebase is structured, documented, and already live in production, but we need someone who can quickly understand patterns, work independently, and ship confidently.
What You'll Build
First 30 Days
You’ll work on one of the most important infrastructure changes in the platform:
making the entire product platform-aware across TikTok and Instagram.
This includes:
• platform switcher architecture
• extending the existing shop selector
• platform-context aware dashboard pages
• shared component abstraction patterns
• cross-platform UI consistency
This touches almost every area of the app and requires someone who can ramp up quickly and think systematically.
First 90 Days
You’ll help build the Instagram expansion across:
• Creator Radar
• CRM Kanban pipelines
• Instagram acquisition workflows
• DM window countdown systems
• campaign creation flows
• catalogue health dashboards
• outreach and cold email infrastructure tooling
Ongoing
You’ll help build the Creator Portal:
a completely new authenticated experience for creators using Lumo.
This includes:
• earnings dashboards
• affiliate links
• creative brief delivery
• direct messaging with brands
• creator onboarding and account systems
As the platform grows, you’ll continue extending both the frontend and backend systems across TikTok and Instagram.
At Lumo, “full stack” genuinely means full stack.
Our Stack
What We’re Looking For
You’ve already built production-grade applications and are comfortable owning complex product areas independently.
You should have strong experience with:
• Next.js App Router
• server vs client component architecture
• TypeScript across frontend and backend
• tRPC routers and procedures
• Prisma schema design and relational querying
• reusable component systems
• modern SaaS UI patterns
• responsive, polished frontend implementation
You should care about product quality, not just functionality.
Our users compare tools against products like Notion, Linear, and modern AI software. The product needs to feel fast, intuitive, and thoughtfully designed.
We care deeply about:
• composable architecture
• clean abstractions
• maintainable systems
• speed of execution
• product intuition
Bonus Points
Experience with:
• multi-tenant SaaS products
• real-time UI systems
• background job systems like Inngest
• creator economy or influencer tooling
• e-commerce systems
• Clerk multi-tenancy and permissions
• live progress systems or realtime dashboards
What You Get
• Real ownership from day one
• Direct collaboration with the founders
• A product already used by paying brands
• Equity in a fast-growing category
• A highly technical, ambitious environment
• The ability to shape product direction early
• Features shipped to production immediately
• A small team with very high trust and autonomy
This is the type of role where one year at Lumo will feel like four years of experience elsewhere.
Timing
We’re looking for someone who can start by early June to help continue momentum on the Instagram build already underway.
If you enjoy building ambitious products, moving quickly, and owning meaningful parts of a platform from an early stage, we’d love to speak.
