About the job
Pirical pioneers the field of People Analytics. We are on a mission to help law firms make fairer and better decisions about their people by helping our customers answer tough people strategy questions through our innovative data products.
We are an organically grown business of nearly 50 exceptionally talented team members, and we already have some of the world’s leading law firms as our clients both here in the UK and in the US. In the 5 years, we have increased revenue year on year, created two flagship products and become the market leader in our industry working with all 5 magic circle firms, but we are not stopping there.
Why join Pirical? We asked our team what defines Pirical’s culture. In their own words:
“You’re not just a number. You have a voice and can make an impact. It’s extremely rare if you have a good idea here that it won’t be given due diligence. The company will support you to bring them to fruition with a good level of guidance and support.” - Analyst
“The team is talented, hard-working and supportive.” - Sales Rep
“HUGE amounts of autonomy and flexibility in a less structured environment than a big company.” - Customer Success Rep
“The company values logic and continuous improvement. Problem-solving from first principles is normal and encouraged.” - Data Engineer
“Ample L&D opportunities. It’s a place where the brighter you want to shine, the company is likely to help facilitate that.” - Software Engineer
The role
We're looking for a Product Manager to lead the next phase of growth for Pirical On Demand (POD), our analytics platform used by many of the world's leading law firms.
This is not a role where you'll inherit a roadmap and simply execute it.
We're looking for someone who enjoys deciding what not to build as much as what to build.
You'll work closely with customers, analyse user behaviour, understand reporting workflows, and collaborate across the business to identify the opportunities that create the greatest value for both our customers and Pirical.
Success in this role requires strong product judgement, commercial awareness, analytical thinking, and the ability to prioritise effectively in an environment where there are always more opportunities than resources.
You'll have significant ownership from day one and play a key role in shaping both the future of the product and the experience of the customers who rely on it every day.
Role Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the product roadmap for POD, ensuring we prioritise the initiatives that create the greatest customer and commercial value
- Spend significant time with customers, developing a deep understanding of their reporting workflows, operational challenges, and strategic objectives
- Analyse user behaviour, product usage data, customer feedback, and market trends to identify opportunities and inform product decisions
- Translate customer problems into clear product opportunities and work closely with Engineering and Design to deliver intuitive, scalable solutions
- Lead product discovery activities, validating assumptions and ensuring development effort is focused on meaningful customer outcomes
- Balance customer needs, technical constraints, and commercial objectives when making prioritisation decisions
- Work closely with Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Data Operations, and Leadership to align product strategy with wider business goals
- Champion the product vision internally and help the wider business understand where we're going and why
- Continuously improve the reporting, automation, and analytics capabilities of POD, ensuring it remains the market-leading solution for legal people data
Role Requiements
- You have 2+ years experience managing a product roadmap and, more importantly, making difficult prioritisation decisions when there are more opportunities than resources
- You are highly analytical and naturally gravitate towards data when making decisions. You're comfortable interrogating datasets, identifying patterns, and translating insights into action
- You think commercially. You enjoy understanding markets, customers, competitors, and growth opportunities, and can connect product decisions to business outcomes
- You are deeply customer-centric. You don't just understand who your users are, you understand their problems, motivations, workflows, and what success looks like for them
- You are comfortable working with ambiguity and enjoy helping shape direction rather than simply executing against it
- You have strong product judgement and can balance customer needs, technical constraints, and commercial objectives when making decisions
- You are curious by nature and enjoy exploring new ideas, technologies, and ways of working. You're comfortable using AI tools in your day-to-day work and interested in how they can create value
- You communicate clearly and confidently with customers, stakeholders, and colleagues, adapting your style to different audiences
- You enjoy operating in a fast-moving startup environment where ownership is high and structure is lighter than in larger organisations
- Experience within SaaS, data products, LegalTech, HRTech, market intelligence, or B2B software would be beneficial but is not essential
- Comfortable being in our Shoreditch office a minimum of 2 days per week
Pirical is committed to being an inclusive and diverse place to work. The excellent work produced at Pirical would not be possible without bringing together all of the different backgrounds, experiences and skills that our team has. We treat every employee equally, and fairly regardless of age, disability, gender, marital status, race, religion or sexual orientation. It is vitally important that each of our team members feels confident, comfortable and empowered.
Note to recruitment agencies: Pirical is committed to building a long term approach to our hiring strategy, we are therefore already working in partnership with selected talent partners. We, therefore, ask you to hold off sending speculative CV’s or sales approaches through this email.
