The Role

We are looking for a nuclear engineer to join our founding simulation team. You will design and optimise our Beam Shaping Assembly (BSA) using Monte Carlo neutron transport codes, model isotope production yields using Bateman equations, and validate simulations against experimental neutron data from IPR beam-time campaigns.

What You Will Do

• Run MCNP6 and OpenMC simulations for BSA optimisation
• Model neutron spectra from p-Li source
• Calculate isotope production yields using Bateman-equation framework
• Benchmark simulated results against experimental data from IPR D-T generator campaigns
• Contribute to NuKG (Nuclear Knowledge Graph) SaaS platform development
• Support patent filings with simulation evidence

What You Bring

• M.Tech or PhD in Nuclear Engineering, Nuclear Physics, or equivalent
• Proficiency in MCNP6 and/or OpenMC (hands-on simulation experience required)
• Understanding of neutron transport, moderation, and shielding physics
• Familiarity with nuclear cross-section databases (ENDF, JEFF, JENDL)
• Programming skills (Python, C/C++, or Fortran)
• Bonus: Experience with PHITS, FLUKA, or Geant4
• Bonus: Publication record in neutron physics
