We have a live, running digital platform that enables volunteers to discover programs, apply, and engage with our initiatives. The foundation is strong — now we’re looking for an expert UX/UI Designer to elevate the experience.

Our goal is simple: optimize, simplify, and future-proof our platform to create a seamless, intuitive, and scalable user experience that reflects our mission and impact.

🎯 Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced UX/UI Designer who can critically evaluate our existing product, identify friction points, and transform the platform into a modern, user-first, future-ready system.

This is not a “build from scratch” role — this is about refinement, clarity, scalability, and intelligent design evolution.

You’ll work closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to create a simple-to-use, elegant, and performance-driven experience.

🚀 Key Responsibilities
Conduct a comprehensive UX audit of the existing platform
Identify usability gaps, inconsistencies, and user friction
Redesign and optimize user journeys for volunteers and administrators
Improve navigation, information architecture, and interaction flows
Enhance visual hierarchy, accessibility, and UI consistency
Build or refine a scalable design system and UI component library
Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs
Ensure cross-device responsiveness (web & mobile)
Conduct usability testing and implement data-driven improvements
Collaborate closely with developers to ensure high-quality implementation
Design with long-term scalability and adaptability in mind

🧠 What We’re Looking For
4+ years of experience in UX/UI design
Strong portfolio demonstrating optimization of live digital products
Experience improving usability for mission-driven or impact platforms (preferred)
Expertise in user research, journey mapping, and interaction design
Proficiency in Figma (or similar design tools)
Experience building or scaling design systems
Strong understanding of accessibility and inclusive design
Ability to balance user empathy with organizational goals
Excellent communication and stakeholder presentation skills

Experience working with nonprofit, community, or volunteer platforms
Experience redesigning multi-step application or onboarding journeys
Familiarity with front-end development principles
Experience with performance and conversion optimization
