Full Stack Developer

Location: Remote
Commitment: Part-time (20 hrs/week)
Compensation: Equity 0.5 – 1.0%

This role is equity-first until funding closes, with a transition to salary thereafter.
We understand many candidates may combine this role with paid work while we’re pre-funding. We’re open to part-time contributors who want to build something meaningful alongside other commitments.

The Role

• We are looking for a Full Stack Developer to join the core engineering team and own features end-to-end across frontend and backend.
• You will collaborate closely with our Head of Engineering and Co-Founders, alongside a small, focused team building the next phase of Changer.
• This is a hands-on role. You will design, build, ship, and improve product features that power real-world impact campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of user-facing features using modern front-end technologies, while contributing to backend services as needed to deliver complete solutions.
• Build performant, scalable, and accessible web interfaces that translate complex workflows into intuitive user experiences.
• Own features end-to-end, from architecture through deployment.
• Collaborate closely with product and engineering to refine requirements, improve usability, and ensure seamless frontend-backend integration.
• Ensure high-quality, secure, and maintainable code through reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD best practices.
• Influence frontend architecture and technical direction, making thoughtful trade-offs to optimize performance, reliability, and user experience.
• Contribute to broader technical strategy, improving systems, developer experience, and overall product quality.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong experience with modern front-end frameworks, including Next.js, and a solid understanding of component-based architecture and state management.
• Proficiency in at least one backend framework such as Node.js, Python, Java, or .NET to support full-stack feature development.
• Experience integrating front-end applications with APIs and web services, including REST and GraphQL.
• Strong understanding of web performance, accessibility, and responsive design best practices.
• Familiarity with Git for collaborative development.
• Strong product mindset. You think beyond implementation details and consider user experience, business impact, and scalability.
• Experience working in Agile environments with sprints, stand-ups, and rapid iteration.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
