Full Stack Developer

About the Role

We are hiring a Full Stack Developer to join our engineering team in Bangalore.

In this role, you will design, build, and maintain applications across our technology stack, from React-based web interfaces and Electron desktop applications to Java backend services, APIs, and third-party integrations.

You will work closely with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and user-friendly solutions that power our kiosks, booking journeys, payment flows, and operational platforms used by travellers and teams worldwide.

We are looking for someone comfortable working across both frontend and backend technologies, with strong fundamentals, a willingness to learn, and the ability to take ownership of features from development through deployment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full stack applications using Java (Spring Boot) and React.
• Build reusable, responsive, and performant frontend components using modern JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
• Develop and maintain backend REST APIs, microservices, and internal services.
• Integrate applications with third-party systems, including payment gateways, transport aggregators, telecom providers, and operational partners.
• Contribute to Electron-based desktop applications supporting kiosks and internal operational workflows.
• Work with relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL), including schema design, queries, and performance optimisation.
• Implement reliable data flows, caching, background processing, and system automation.
• Collaborate with the Product Manager and designers to translate business requirements and wireframes into functional, end-to-end solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following engineering best practices.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve issues across frontend and backend systems.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, monitoring, and application performance improvements.

Who You Are

Required

• 1–2 years of professional software development experience, with hands-on exposure to both frontend and backend development.
• Strong proficiency in Java and JavaScript (ES6+).
• Experience with Spring Boot (or similar Java frameworks) and React.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs, client-server architecture, and backend development fundamentals.
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and responsive UI development.
• Familiarity with relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and SQL.
• Understanding of React component architecture and state management patterns.
• Experience with Git, pull requests, and modern software development workflows.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to learn quickly, take ownership of tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred

• Experience building and deploying production-ready applications using Spring Boot and React.
• Familiarity with TypeScript and modern frontend build tools (Vite, Webpack, or similar).
• Experience with Electron.js or other desktop application frameworks.
• Experience working with React Native to build cross-platform applications
• Exposure to third-party API integrations, particularly payments, transport, or telecom services.
• Understanding of microservices, asynchronous processing, queues, caching, or event-driven architecture.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK.
• Understanding of frontend accessibility, cross-browser compatibility, and performance optimisation.
• Exposure to kiosk, IoT, travel-tech, or operational technology platforms.
