Backend engineer (Java+Flink)

As we scale our platform and build next-generation analytics capabilities, we’re expanding our backend engineering team.

What You’ll Do

As a Backend Engineer at MediaMelon, you’ll build and implement the core services that drive our real-time analytics engine. You’ll work on mission-critical components—from stream processing pipelines to low-latency data stores—while collaborating with a highly experienced engineering team.

You will

• Build and optimize high-throughput backend services in Java
• Develop real-time data processing flows using Flink and Kafka
• Work with ClickHouse or similar OLAP systems to power large-scale analytics
• Enhance performance, reliability, and observability of distributed services
• Shape backend architecture and influence key technical decisions
• Contribute directly to products used by major global streaming providers

What You Bring

• 4–6 years of strong backend engineering experience
• Deep expertise in Java
• Hands-on experience with Flink, Kafka, and ClickHouse (or equivalents)
• Solid understanding of distributed systems and high-volume data processing
• A passion for solving complex real-time data challenges

Nice to Have

• Experience with streaming/video analytics platforms
• Familiarity with microservices, Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure
