About the Role
- We are seeking a motivated Data Research Specialist based in Austin, Texas, to join our team on a part-time basis. In this hybrid role, you’ll play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our CRM data while researching key accounts and contacts to support our sales team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in data management and prospecting, with a clear pathway to grow into a full-time Sales Development Representative (SDR) role.
What You’ll Do
- Research, enrich, and score company and contact data using tools like Apollo, Google Sheets, LinkedIn, and company websites.
- Clean and maintain our CRM by identifying and correcting incomplete or inaccurate data.
- Analyze data points in a structured format (rows and columns) to identify missing information and inconsistencies.
- Collaborate with the sales and RevOps teams to ensure accounts are prioritized effectively.
- Reach and exceed your weekly personal lead enhancement targets.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of the food distribution industry including structure, supply chain, and segmentation.
- Collaborate with colleagues on shared projects and group targets.
- Work 20 hours per week, splitting time between remote work and in-person collaboration at WeWork in Austin, TX.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong organizational and research skills with the ability to work efficiently and accurately.
- Familiarity with Google Sheets (basic formulas, sorting, filtering) and comfort navigating LinkedIn and websites to find data points.
- Ability to think critically about data and organize information in a structured, logical manner.
- A team player who is curious, adaptable, and motivated to learn.
- Based in Austin, TX, with availability to work 20 hours/week in a hybrid remote/in-person model.
Preferred Qualifications
- Interest in pursuing a career in sales, RevOps, or a related field.
- Some experience with CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) is a plus but not required.
- Recent graduates or students interested in gaining hands-on experience in tech and data research.
What We Offer
- Hybrid work environment for flexibility and collaboration.
- Opportunity to gain foundational experience in data research and sales support.
- Clear pathway to a full-time Sales Development Representative (SDR) role upon successful completion of the 3-month contract.
