Anaplan is seeking a Director of Product Marketing. At Anaplan, we are a team of innovators who are focused on optimizing business decision-making through our leading scenario planning and analysis platform so our customers can outpace their competition and the market.
Your Impact
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute comprehensive product marketing strategies that align with Anaplan’s business objectives and drive growth, at plan or above, for our platform and AI product portfolio. Additionally, grow our business by bringing new products and features to market through timely, compelling launch strategies, while crafting clear positioning and messaging that resonates with our target audience.
- Market Research & Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape, leveraging insights to inform product development and positioning. Additionally, research competitive products and ensure internal stakeholders have the appropriate training and content to effectively position Anaplan against the competition.
- Product Positioning & Messaging: Create compelling product positioning and messaging frameworks that articulate the unique value propositions and benefits of Anaplan’s platform, AI and applications/solutions to identified customer segments.
- Go-to-Market Strategy: Lead the development and execution of go-to-market strategies for new product launches and feature enhancements, ensuring alignment with sales, customer success, sales/partner enablement, and product teams. Key to this is understanding the product's capabilities and developing/refining value propositions to different stakeholders in the buying process.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with product management, sales, GTM operations, enablement, customer success, and other stakeholders to drive alignment and ensure successful product adoption and customer satisfaction.
- Content Development: Drive and collaborate on the creation of marketing collateral, including case studies, whitepapers, blog posts, webinars, product videos, and presentations that effectively communicate product value to prospects and customers. Build scalable internal and external facing content for the products you own, and work with the campaigns and field marketing team to drive demand and pipeline of qualified opportunities. Also, collaborate on the development of internal sales enablement content and training sessions ensuring relevant stakeholders understand product functionality and how to position to potential prospects.
- Performance Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of product marketing initiatives and continuously optimize strategies based on performance data.
- Product Launch: Ensure successful product release & launch communications as well as refine Anaplan’s ongoing marketing strategies and execution. Work closely with product launch PMO office, CMO, Sales, Customer Success, and other marketing functions to deliver timely and high-quality content in support of our product launch process.
- Team Leadership: Build, develop,p and lead a high-performing product marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Represent Anaplan in external events and build appropriate content to demonstrate thought leadership and showcase customer value.
Your Qualifications:
- Minimum seven years of product or solution marketing/management experience.
- Demonstrated success in team leadership, management, and development; Experience in leading and developing high-performing teams
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; Masters degree preferred.
- Experience working with B2B marketing, sales enablement,t and cross-functional teams
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and ability to influence without authority
- Experience developing marketing content to target key audience members and drive pipeline for your products
- Deep technical product understanding and experience launching enterprise products and platform features
- Demonstrated ability to analyze market trends and customer insights to drive strategic decisions.
- Proficiency in marketing automation tools, CRM systems, and analytics platforms.
- Self-motivated and doesn't wait for prescriptive direction, capable of working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Excellent command of English, both verbal and written.
- Experience in leading and developing high-performing teams. Base Salary Range:$210,000—$285,000 USD
