The Broadband team is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer with a front-end focus to join our Engineering Team. You'll play an instrumental role in developing core consumer-facing products for internal and external brands.

The Broadband team aims to help customers compare and be matched with their home’s best internet option in the most simple and accurate way possible. The products we design and implement, include location-based broadband information, streamlined connections to potential providers, plan comparisons and more. This role calls for a passionate individual who is highly skilled in website development. Each day, you'll create, code and optimize websites and user experiences in a workplace where you can see the impact of your ideas.

The right candidate for this role will be highly-organized and collaborative; with a passion for solving problems cross-functionally. But you won’t do it alone — you’ll have a collaborative cross-disciplinary team of designers, product managers, and other engineers to support you.

What You'll Do

• Build rich, intuitive user interfaces on top of the platform and services that power Red Ventures’ broadband business to help our customers solve their broadband connectivity needs.
• Contribute to key architectural decisions.
• Build solutions that scale, are secure, and maintainable.
• Integrate internal and external APIs performantly.
• Active pair-programming with teammates when they need help. Help mentor and develop other engineers on your team.
• Guide formal and informal code and architecture reviews.
• Collaborate with the product management team and other developers to deliver a quality product that meets business needs.
• Execute and hit deadlines as well as provide timely feedback if the scope is incorrect

What We're Looking For

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in front-end web development.
• Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Ample experience with React, Angular, or Vue.js
• Proficiency in Wordpress and PHP
• Proficiency in version control tools like Git.
• Experience building Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) environments (especially GitHub Actions)
• Proficiency with technical SEO
• Experience hosting web applications in Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Experience with software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum.
• Growth Mindset: A relentless desire to learn and excel in a tech-driven environment
• Excellent communication skills for effective team collaboration, including the ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience testing, monitoring performance, and debugging the code you develop.

Even Better

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience with TypeScript.
• Experience building and maintaining unit and end-to-end tests for front-end applications
• Experience with Figma
• Working knowledge of web image formats, font loading techniques, and other strategies for optimizing Core Web Vitals.
• Practical Implementation of Web Accessibility Standards.
• Experience using software monitoring tools such New Relic or Datadog

Compensation

• Cash Compensation Range: $100,000 - $150,000
  *Note actual salary is based on geographic location, qualifications, and experience.
