Job Role: Technical Writer
Required Experience: 3+ years
We are looking for a Technical Writer with 3+ years of experience in creating clear, concise, and comprehensive documentation for technical processes, products, and services. The ideal candidate will have a knack for breaking down complex information into easily understandable content and a passion for ensuring users have the information they need to succeed.
*Responsibilities *
- Develop, write, and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including user manuals, API documentation, FAQs, knowledge bases, and online help content.
- Collaborate with software developers, engineers, and product managers to gather and analyze technical information.
- Create content that explains complex concepts simply and engagingly tailored to the target audience.
- Ensure consistency, clarity, and accuracy in all documentation following the company’s standards and guidelines.
- Revise and update existing documentation to reflect changes in features, functions, or processes.
- Research, plan, and produce new documentation for product launches or updates.
- Use tools such as Markdown, XML, HTML, or content management systems to create and maintain documentation.
- Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to improve documentation quality.
- Create visuals such as diagrams, charts, or screenshots to support written content.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in technical writing and documentation.
Requirements
- Proven work experience as a Technical Writer or similar role, with at least 2 years of hands-on documentation experience.
- Strong understanding of technical concepts, software development processes, and engineering principles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using documentation tools such as MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, MadCap Flare, or similar.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in collaborative environments.
- Ability to create content for different formats, including PDFs, websites, and online portals.
- Basic knowledge of version control systems like Git is a plus.
- Experience with documenting APIs, SDKs, or software tools is desirable.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
