Job Description: DevOps Engineer

Company Overview

Apna Samaaj Tech is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to manage and enhance our infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance of our digital offerings running on Linux servers.

Key Responsibilities

Server Configuration and Management: Load and configure Linux on new servers, manage software firewalls, and ensure server hardening to maintain security.

Monitoring and Maintenance: Set up and manage monitoring tools like Zabbix and ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana) to oversee system performance and proactively address issues.

Database Management: Administer and optimize MongoDB and MySQL databases to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.

Load Balancing and Web Serving: Configure and maintain HAProxy and Nginx, along with PHP-FPM and pm2 for smooth operation and optimal load distribution.

Performance Optimization: Ensure systems are optimized for performance, including setting up RAID configurations for data redundancy and speed.

Incident Management: Monitor and keep application performance below acceptable thresholds, quickly addressing and resolving any operational issues to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

Minimum of 0-1 years of experience in managing production systems, preferably in a news portal or high-traffic website environment.

Strong expertise in Linux server administration, including loading and configuring new boxes, and implementing security measures.

Proficient in managing and optimizing MongoDB and MySQL databases.

Experience with HAProxy, Nginx, PHP-FPM, pm2, and other essential tools for maintaining a robust online presence.

Skilled in setting up and using monitoring tools like Zabbix and ELK stack.

Knowledgeable in configuring RAID and other performance-enhancing technologies.

Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently to maintain high system uptime.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
