Key Responsibilities:
● Lead Hardware and Firmware Teams: Oversee the architecture design and development of both hardware and firmware, ensuring smooth integration and effective collaboration across teams.
● Hardware Design & Production: Manage the complete lifecycle, including architecture design, component selection, schematic creation, layout optimization, and EMI/EMC considerations to deliver high-performance hardware solutions.
● Firmware Design & Production: Define and develop scalable firmware architecture, implement critical features (OTA, UDS), and optimize algorithms for efficient battery-charging performance.
● Embedded Systems Development: Design state machines and communication protocols (CAN, UART, SPI), ensuring effective interaction between the battery and charger hardware.
● Production Readiness: Drive the team to validate and deploy hardware and firmware designs, building robust reliability and safety mechanisms through FMEA and risk assessments.
● Cross-Functional Leadership: Guide cross-functional collaboration between hardware, firmware, mechanical, and supply chain teams, managing the product journey from concept to mass production.
● Quality Management & Team Growth: Establish and uphold engineering processes and quality standards, mentor team members, and cultivate a high-performance engineering culture.
Qualifications:
● Experience: 8+ years in product development, with hands-on involvement in full lifecycle projects from concept to production.
● Hardware Expertise: Proficient in electromechanical design, schematic/layout creation, DFX, and EMI/EMC best practices.
● Embedded Systems: Deep understanding of ARM/DSP microcontrollers, ADCs, GPIOs, and communication protocols (CAN, USB, SPI, UART).
● Firmware Development: Proficient in C/C++ and RTOS/Linux environments, with experience building reliable firmware stacks.
● Power Electronics & Integration: Solid knowledge of embedded hardware and firmware integration, with a focus on optimizing performance.
● Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage and inspire cross-functional teams, driving product development and ensuring production readiness.
● HIL/SIL Setup Experience: Familiarity with setting up and working on Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) environments.
Good to have:
● Knowledge of battery management systems and EV charging technologies.
● Experience in designing algorithms for real-time systems and optimizing
hardware-firmware interactions.
● Familiarity with static code analysis tools (e.g., LDRA, Polyspace) and version control
systems like Git.
● Background in high-volume production of safety-critical embedded device
