About the job
About Us:
FilmUp is an innovative film production payroll software startup revolutionizing the way the entertainment industry manages payroll, tax compliance, and crew payments. Our platform integrates seamlessly into production workflows, providing real-time data processing, automation, and AI-driven solutions to simplify complex payroll tasks for film and TV productions. We're looking for a talented and passionate AI / Machine Learning Engineer to join our growing team and help us create intelligent, automated systems that will transform the payroll experience for production teams worldwide.
Job Overview:
As an AI / Machine Learning Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying AI-powered solutions to optimize payroll management and improve automation within our platform. You will work closely with our engineering, data science, and product teams to build machine learning models that streamline data processing, ensure tax and labor law compliance, and deliver predictive insights that drive business intelligence for our users.
Key Responsibilities:
AI / ML Model Development: Design, build, and deploy machine learning models that can automate payroll processes, optimize crew payment schedules, and predict budgeting trends based on historical data.
Data Processing & Integration: Work with large datasets (e.g., payroll, tax data, production budgets) to develop AI-driven features such as tax calculations, cost estimations, and compliance checks.
Automation & Optimization: Leverage AI and ML to develop algorithms that automate repetitive tasks in payroll and human resources, such as timecard validation, cost allocation, and benefit tracking.
Real-Time Analytics: Build and integrate real-time data processing pipelines that provide live insights into production costs, crew budgets, and payment progress for production managers.
Predictive Analytics: Develop forecasting tools for cost prediction, including overrun detection and optimization for on-budget payroll management.
Collaboration: Work closely with product managers and designers to translate business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring that machine learning models and AI algorithms are effectively implemented within the software’s user interface.
Compliance & Accuracy: Ensure that AI models adhere to tax regulations, union agreements, and other legal requirements in the entertainment industry.
Performance Monitoring & Tuning: Continuously monitor and improve the performance of AI systems, optimizing for speed, accuracy, and scalability.
Research & Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in AI and machine learning and evaluate new techniques that could be applied to film production payroll systems.
