Experienced Full-stack Web Dev for Educational Platform: Coding for Teens and High-Schools
We are looking for a full stack dev who deeply understands confidently adapts backend DBs, hosting and high-level SSR.
Someone that can build core and complex functionality for the application. Preferably you have some experience with EdTech, teacher and collaborative tools.
Stack: Nest.js, Postgres, Sockets, Next.js, MUI.
Very Important: You have LOTS of experience building complex projects ALONE and taking full responsibility for features.
Flexible Roll: Part-time
We have a pretty polished application, not launched yet and are looking for people with extensive experience working with real-world launched products, bugs, serious developers who can deliver real-world features, test them and improve them post pushing them live.
A developer who loves the product comprehensively and is passionate about improving it and supporting the business. Who does not need to be motivated on why detailed modifications are important, but is part of the team, enjoys learning about the needs of the users and the changes in the market, and works with us to improve.
About Us
We're an early-stage edu company building the "OS for Coding in Schools in Emerging Markets." Meaning we want to empower teachers, Govs and orgs to reach as many teens and kids as possible, by building a versatile platform that is accredited, affordable and mobile-friendly.
Our primary differentiators are custom content, white-label capabilities and mobile-friendly design.
This is a fulltime position and requires lots of initiative and problem-solving. The work includes some re-factoring and a fair amount of planning the data or architecture for new features or adapting open-source solutions to suit the feature set.
The majority of current features planned are to:
A. improve the learning experience for the users.
B. Build standard and custom, mobile-friendly tools for teachers to manage their class and plans.
C. Organizations to manage their account or high-level integration.
In addition there is an innovation pillar which looks at building unique and innovative features which will make the lives of others better.
Ideally, you are not currently working and who can therefore do a paid tryout. Work with a the team on a few small features and see if this is for you and if the culture jives.
