Director, Clinical Operations

iRhythm Technologies is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Clinical Operations. In this role you will drive operational excellence, lead strategic planning, and enhance workflow processes across the Clinical Operations organization. A key component of success in this role is the ability to influence, collaborate, and navigate a global, matrixed environment. Our work environment is fast-paced, with a collaborative atmosphere. Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Team Development:
- Participate in the strategic management, planning, and operational leadership of clinical operations.
- Provide clear direction to build engaged, high-performing teams that align with iRhythm’s mission and vision.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, excellence, and continuous improvement within the clinical operations teams.
Process Optimization & Operational Excellence:
- Drive process improvement initiatives by identifying workflow inefficiencies and optimizing systems for greater productivity and quality.
- Use key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational success, analyze trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Ensure accurate, timely reporting of operational data to inform decision-making across teams.
- Oversee fiscal management and cost efficiency in clinical operations to ensure financial sustainability.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with Clinical Quality, System Development, and other cross-functional teams to drive continuous quality improvement activities.
- Actively engage with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment on goals and expectations.
- Strengthen partnerships across departments to define, prioritize, and allocate resources for clinical projects and initiatives.
Talent Management & Recruitment:
- Partner with HR and Talent Acquisition to recruit and onboard top talent for Clinical Management & Operations teams.
- Support the professional development and growth of the Clinical Operations teams, fostering a culture of inclusion, engagement, and belonging.
Clinical Quality & Safety:
- Ensure clinical practices adhere to iRhythm’s patient-first, quality-driven culture, prioritizing safe, effective, and timely patient care.
- Evaluate, analyze, and communicate quality metrics in accordance with established performance standards for individuals and teams.
About You:
We are looking for a strategic, results-driven leader who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment and has a passion for driving excellence in clinical operations.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s in Health Administration (MHA) or MBA is highly preferred.
- RN or equivalent clinical credentials are preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years of management experience in the medical device, healthcare services, or related field, with a focus on leading large-scale teams required.
- Experience in cardiac sector preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
- Proven ability to manage workflows and drive operational efficiency, ensuring high productivity and quality outcomes.
- Expertise in team development, with a strong focus on fostering engagement, inclusion, and a culture of belonging.
- Strong business acumen with a solid understanding of industry trends, market dynamics, and financial performance.
- Creative problem-solving skills within established best practices and regulatory guidelines.
- Timely, informed decision-making based on facts, goals, constraints, and risks.
- Highly collaborative with the ability to work effectively in a matrixed organization across various functions and locations.
- Excellent critical thinking, communication (verbal and written), and project management skills.

Actual compensation may vary depending on job-related factors including knowledge, skills, experience, and work location.
Estimated Pay Range$153,800—$225,700 USD
