Senior Director, Identity Governance & Administration (IGA)
The Security team’s mission is to strengthen Okta’s position as the leading Identity-as-a- Service solutions through identifying and resolving risks to the employees, product, and most importantly, our customers. With the ever-increasing pace of cloud application adoption, companies are struggling to find ways to accurately assess risk and act at the speed of their business.
As the Senior Director of Identity Governance & Administration (IGA), you will oversee the building and execution of a world-class, comprehensive Enterprise Identity service to empower and harden Okta’s business. You will be providing strategic guidance and coaching team members to grow in their roles. You will lead the team to be Okta’s first and best customer by implementing Okta capabilities and partnering closely with Okta Product teams to enhance our offerings.
The successful candidate will be an IGA leader with experience in highly regulated environments, strong communication skills with in-depth knowledge of IAM/IGA security concepts, models, and practices. You will have prior experience leading large teams and partnering with global business stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities
- Build and lead a team of highly technical professionals who understand IGA security best practices and build world class IGA solutions.
- Partner with your peers in Security, Product Management and Development, Business Technology, and Engineering to deliver world class IAM solutions to secure the business and enable Okta’s workforce.
- Become an Okta product expert by implementing Okta’s newest features and providing feedback to enhance our products.
- Provide support to compliance audit and assessment efforts to support evidence collection and auditor walk-throughs, and related compliance and security documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams to deliver creative solutions to complex global, IGA challenges and business requirements.
- Encourage automation opportunities to reduce manual tasks for support teams and enable the business to accomplish repeatable IGA requests via self service.
- Lead the life cycle of business roles that includes a deep understanding of birthright, Policy Based Access (PBAC) and Attribute Based Access (ABAC) models while maintaining Separation of Duty (SOD).
Qualifications
- You have at least 10 years of information technology and/or information security experience
- Demonstrated experience building and leading a team of security professionals
- Experience with automating business processes and configuration management. This should include deep experience in the life cycle of business operational roles.
- Hands on experience designing, building, deploying, or administering complex IGA workflows and capabilities
- Security experience related to concepts of identity and access management
- Proven ability to deliver timely and flawless execution on time and on budget with complex projects within a expedited timeline with high executive visibility
- Demonstrated ability to partner with cross functional teams
- Mentor and coach the team on the security and business requirements, technical specifications and being able to explain to the team the requirements / controls in simple terms.
- Outstanding listener, great presenter, terrific interpersonal and communication skills with strong ability to influence other teams to get things done, with diplomacy and without formal authority.
- You are able to independently operate and take a proactive approach to your projects.
- Knowledge of other competitive IGA product offerings on the market. Previous experience with Sailpoint and/or Saviynt is a plus. Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, New York, and Washington is between:$226,000—$340,000 CAD The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between: $254,000—$380,000 CAD
