About The Team:
Post Trade Engineering focuses on managing the processes that occur after trades are executed. This team is vital for ensuring trades are confirmed, settled, and reconciled accurately and efficiently while minimizing risks and enhancing the overall trading experience for clients. This is achieved through developing Java applications within a robust, high-availability, and scalable environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Enhance the functionality of existing applications
- Collaborate with senior engineers to implement best practices in coding standards and software design
- Monitor CI/CD processes and troubleshoot any issues that arise, ensuring that code changes integrate smoothly into the main codebase
- Create and update technical documentation for codebases, deployment processes, and system architectures
- Document best practices, troubleshooting guides, and user manuals to assist team members and future developers
- Support the development of automated test cases for unit, integration, and end-to-end testing of applications
- Participate in manual testing efforts to validate new features and bug fixes
- Assist in monitoring application performance and reliability using various monitoring tools, identifying areas for improvement
What You’ll Need:
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#, or SQL) and version control systems (e.g., Github).
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze complex systems and identify areas for optimization
- Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail, particularly in code quality and application performance
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to team members and stakeholders
- Interest in Finance: A foundational understanding of financial markets and trading processes is beneficial
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelors, Masters, or MBA degree with a graduation date between December 2025 and June 2027
- Be available full-time and in-person for 40 hours per week
- Must reside in NY-metro area, relocation support will not be provided
- Must be available from Monday, June 2, 2025 to Friday, August 15, 2025
