What We’re Building A surge of technology companies are building building products for defense to solve the national security threats we’re facing today. However, the defense acquisition process is a challenge for all sides of the table. Just making sense of budget, stakeholders, acquisition strategy, and the landscape of programs out there is a challenge - driven by a complex information/data landscape and intelligence gathering process. We're tackling this problem head-on; and we’re backed by an incredible group of investors, heavy-hitting national security veterans, and technology industry executives.

Obviant is a data intelligence platform to simplify defense acquisition & GTM. Our starting point is making it easier to havigate connections between budget, programs, and the people who own them in the DoD; plus tracking real-time happenings around all of it. Our mission is to get better technology into the mission sets that need it the most. If you’re excited about having an impact on the future of defense, we’re probably for you.

What We’re Looking For Our first GTM hire. Someone with previous experience in business development and generating top of funnel to spearhead our go-to-market operations. You'll be a critical part of expanding our early customer base, and you'll get to build relationships with top defense technology companies.

You’ll be an early hire on our team, get in on the ground floor, and have meaningful ownership. As we grow, ideally you will too, both in the skills that you acquire as well as responsibilities.

The Day-To-Day

  • Drive outbound lead generation and manage top-of-funnel activities.
  • Work in conjunction with content marketing efforts
  • Conduct research to identify potential customers, market opportunities, and analyzing trends
  • Execute outreach that targets multiple stakeholders and create effective sequencing, emailing, and messaging strategies. Using LinkedIn effectively.
  • Build scalable processes to generate repeatable top-of-funnel volume and track the pipeline

What You’ve Done That We’d Love

  • 3+ yrs experience in business development, sales, or marketing.
  • Strong understanding of buyer personas and high-level communication skills through calls, emails, and messages.
  • Experience with tools like HubSpot and emerging platforms like Clay.io for targeted outbound efforts Previous track record establishing and scaling automated outbound/GTM motions
  • Ability to manage top-of-funnel activities and target multiple stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in creating and executing effective sequencing, emailing, and messaging strategies.

  • Work doesn’t feel like “work” to you - We’re passionate about what we’re going after, and we devote more time to it than a typical 9-5. That often means putting in some extra time at night and occassionally on weekends . However, maintaining your own personal balance comes above all else, and you should establish that however you need to - flexible schedule, taking advantage of time off, or anything else you need.
