We are a growing startup providing custom SaaS solutions to Fortune 500 companies, seeking an experienced Account Executive skilled in both sales and client management. This hybrid role involves new business development, consultative sales, and relationship management. You’ll drive new opportunities, grow existing accounts, and build lasting client partnerships to help scale our impact in the enterprise market.
Who You Are
- Experience: 5-10 years of B2B software sales and client management experience, particularly with Fortune 500 clients.
- Location: Must reside near Providence, RI, with the flexibility to travel to client locations as required.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficient in using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) for tracking, reporting, and managing sales pipelines.
- Relationship-Builder: Skilled at cultivating relationships with executive stakeholders, understanding client needs, and identifying opportunities for growth.
- Strategic and Consultative: Brings a consultative approach to uncovering client needs and delivering value-driven solutions.
- Goal-Oriented: History of exceeding sales targets and account growth goals.
- Adaptable Multitasker: Able to navigate a dynamic startup environment, prioritize effectively, and wear multiple hats to drive results.
- Excellent Communicator: Strong in verbal and written communication, with a knack for presenting complex solutions in a clear, compelling way.
What You’ll Do
- Business Development & Sales: Identify and engage new business opportunities within the Fortune 500 segment. Lead sales efforts from initial outreach through negotiation and deal closure.
- Account Management: Oversee a portfolio of high-value clients, ensuring satisfaction, driving engagement, and identifying upsell or cross-sell opportunities.
- Client Success & Relationship Management: Foster long-term relationships with decision-makers and stakeholders, ensuring alignment with client objectives and satisfaction with our solutions.
- Consultative Engagement: Conduct discovery sessions to understand client needs deeply, provide customized solutions, and ensure the value of our services is communicated effectively.
- Achieve Sales & Growth Targets: Consistently meet and exceed both new business and account expansion goals.
- Collaborate with Leadership: Partner with the co-founder and senior leadership to develop and refine sales strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Industry Engagement: Represent the company at 1-2 industry conferences annually to expand our network and uncover new business opportunities. Travel to client offices within the Northeast USA for in-person meetings and relationship-building as needed.
