About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior LTL Operations Lead to oversee and optimize the performance of our Less-Than-Truckload operations. This individual will manage an offshore workforce, develop and execute key performance indicators, and act as the subject matter expert for tracking, billing, and dispatching escalations. The ideal candidate will lead by example, exhibit grit, and have the ability to implement effective processes that drive operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the performance of an offshore team responsible for supporting LTL operations.
- Develop, implement, and monitor key performance indicators to measure effectiveness of LTL operations and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to resolve issues with billing, tracking and dispatching processes.
- Serve as a liaison between LTL Operations team and leadership, providing upward recommendations and performance improvement recommendations.
- Serve as a player-coach, actively participating in the day-to-day operations while driving top performance among the team.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive SOPs and documentation to ensure consistency and quality in LTL operations.
- Assist with LTL pricing exercises, leveraging strong LTL pricing knowledge and analytical skills.
- Work closely with LTL carrier partners to maintain strong relationships and provide feedback in order to improve performance and service quality.
- Ensure all LTL operations comply with applicable regulations and company policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in LTL operations, with a strong understanding of billing, tracking, and dispatching processes.
- Experience managing remote or offshore teams is highly preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis and KPI management.
- Ability to handle escalations and work under pressure.
- High aptitude for technology; proficient in transportation management systems (TMS) and other relevant software.
- Familiar with LTL carrier networks, LTL carrier sales reps, the inner workings of terminal operations, rules tariffs, and deep understanding of LTL rating.
- Proficiency in creating and executing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Compensation
The expected range for this position is $80,000 - $100,000 per year. This range reflects typical earning potential in this role. When determining an offer, we take into account a variety of factors that are important in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: skill sets; experience and tenure; education and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate is based on market data. Salary bands may, in some circumstances, be adjusted to a different geographic area depending on the candidate's position and location.
In addition to salary, full-time employees are also eligible for an equity package and our competitive benefits that support you and your family as part of your total rewards package at Flock Freight. Our policy is that we target candidates local to one of Flock Freight’s headquarters locations (San Diego and Chicago) and ask that employees work in-office.
