Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and driven Business Development Manager to join our team. This individual will play a critical role in cultivating relationships with Shopify sellers, new Amazon sellers, and product manufacturers seeking to expand their presence on Amazon. The primary responsibility is to generate new business opportunities by identifying and engaging with e-commerce businesses and manufacturers who can benefit from our Amazon services. You will help these sellers and brands leverage Amazon to scale their businesses by becoming their dedicated Amazon partner.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and Build Relationships:
- Research and engage with Shopify sellers who are interested in expanding to Amazon.
- Establish connections with new Amazon sellers who need assistance scaling their operations.
- Cultivate relationships with manufacturers seeking a dedicated Amazon seller to manage their brand on the platform.
Sales Pipeline Management:
- Develop a structured pipeline of potential clients through lead generation, networking, and referrals.
- Manage the sales process from initial contact to closing, ensuring clear communication and value proposition delivery.
Customized Solutions:
- Assess each potential client’s unique needs and develop tailored solutions to help them succeed on Amazon.
- Present Cartkaboom's 'Official Seller Partnership Package,' where our team manages all aspects of their Amazon business, including PPC campaigns, listing optimization, and inventory management.
Partnership Development:
- Create and maintain long-term business relationships with clients, focusing on mutual growth and success.
- Ensure clients understand and are aligned with Cartkaboom's services, including our approach to managing their Amazon brand.
Market Insights & Strategy:
- Stay informed about industry trends and Amazon platform changes.
- Provide input to internal teams to adjust strategies that meet evolving client needs and market conditions.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with the marketing, Amazon PPC, and listing teams to ensure a seamless transition from sales to service.
- Provide regular feedback and insights to help improve client acquisition strategies and refine service offerings.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business development or sales, preferably within e-commerce, Amazon services, or digital marketing.
- Strong understanding of the Amazon marketplace and its growth potential for new and established sellers.
- Experience working with Shopify or other e-commerce platforms is a plus.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, particularly in a consultative sales environment.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple client relationships effectively.
- Familiarity with tools like Amazon Seller Central, CRM platforms, and sales pipeline software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with product manufacturers in a B2B context.
- Knowledge of Amazon PPC and listing optimization strategies.
- Track record of helping small-to-medium-sized businesses scale on Amazon.
