About the job
| about | Through a unique blend of social and financial assistance, Samaritan connects vulnerable populations with vital resources and community support. Health and human services agencies leverage Samaritan to foster engagement among homeless communities, facilitating access to essential services like healthcare, utilities, and housing. With a proven track record of impacting lives, Samaritan is committed to expanding its reach and effectiveness, driven by a mission to transform the lives of those facing homelessness across the United States.
| how samaritan works | samaritan is a technology platform designed to increase clients' engagement with health and human services so they can access benefits, manage chronic conditions, and gain self-sufficiency. We do this by partnering with Medicaid Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) and incredible community-based partners who sign up their clients for a Samaritan Membership, helping them access extra financial and social support on their journey to health and housing.
| what you’ll do |
You’ll use your empathy and technical skills to help our partners adopt and effectively use Samaritan, driving better outcomes for their clients. By building relationships with community-based organizations and Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) in California, you’ll become a trusted expert on integrating Samaritan into their work. Your responsibilities will include driving adoption, resolving pain points, and developing strategies to overcome barriers. You’ll also capture and share outcomes to support partnership expansion.
| core responsibilities |
- Be an expert in samaritan’s product and services and educate partners on the value-add of providing direct financial and social support to their clients (it’s a win-win!)
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting partner relationships with samaritan’s stakeholders by understanding their needs, objectives, workflows, and team dynamics - all ultimately to help us meet our collective goal of helping people experiencing homelessness make strides towards health and housing
- Help teams adopt samaritan technology into their existing work with high-need populations, mapping out implementation plans for new frontline care team partners, including onboarding new teams and providing ongoing technical assistance as needed
- Drive engagement with frontline care partners and the people they serve, evaluating and improving processes to better allow individuals to reach housing and health goals
- Act as the partners’s escalation point for business-critical issues, ensuring appropriate feedback channels are maintained so we can understand pain-points and can deliver timely and creative solutions for follow-up and resolution
- Analyze partners’s outcomes and performance, and use a data-driven approach to highlight issues early and design effective interventions for partner success.
- Provide relevant data to partners on a monthly basis and in regular check-ins to drive enthusiasm and demonstrate the impact of our partnership. Identify opportunities to automate reporting to support successful partnership scaling over time.
- Collaborate across teams to plan and execute stakeholder meetings including one-on-one care team partner meetings, and larger stakeholder gatherings with the goal of building trust, sharing best practices, and demonstrating success
- Generate best practices for process workflows that support frontline care team partners and assist Samaritan Members in reaching their health and housing goals
- Develop and iterate partner success materials, including but not limited to onboarding materials, training scripts and videos, webinars, newsletters, and other strategic projects that drive product clarity and improve outcomes for our stakeholders
Internal Responsibilities
- Ensure partner and Member voices are heard throughout product priorities and development as partners and Members strive towards outcomes
- Analyze and track KPIs and other relevant data to provide deeper insights and a smarter understanding of partner operations, opportunities for improvement and areas of strength
- Collaborate closely with the other leads across implementation (Customer Success, Member Success, and Member Outcomes) to ensure team cohesion, being the voice of our community partner while driving success for all stakeholders
| you'll be successful in this role if |
- You lead with empathy, curiosity, and creativity and want to put those skills to use for people experiencing homelessness
- You have demonstrated success managing complex relationships and scenarios with organization and confidence
- You approach challenges and partnerships strategically, identifying ways to overcome barriers and achieve shared goals
- You’re an excellent problem solver: Can quickly identify/diagnose problems and implement solutions that support scaling so we can serve more people in need
- You bring humility and creativity to your work, embracing experimentation.
- You’re an excellent communicator, adept at creating effective assets to address challenges and provide clarity.
- You have technical literacy and are familiar with project management tools (Monday.com, Trello) and communication tools (Zoom, Slack, Front).
- You want to work with passionate optimists committed to helping the unhoused make meaningful life changes
| requirements |
- CA-based. This is a hybrid role where you will be expected to visit our community partners for stakeholder engagement, trainings, or milestone celebrations. This position will require 10-25% travel to Los Angeles, San Diego, Oakland, and Sacramento for site-visits and in-person trainings as needed.
- Familiarity with community-based initiatives. Masters in Public Health or relevant field preferred.
| what we offer + application | $72-86K depending on experience with raises as we grow. Generous benefit package that covers health, professional development, wellness and WFH stipends.
