What We’re Looking For:Beam is looking for an experienced Analytics Engineer to join our Engineering Team. In this role, you will be working cross-functionally with business domain experts, analytics, and engineering teams to build and maintain our data warehouse. You will have a significant part in building a solid data foundation for a data-driven company.
What You Will Do:
- Work with engineering, product, and analytics teams to understand and scope requirements to improve the useability, quality, and reliability of data for the business
- Collaborate with Data Engineers to further the development of our overall data platform
- Drive the development and maintenance of our data warehouse
- Apply software engineering best practices to uplift analytics processes
- Work with the data team to develop and maintain data quality rules, documentation and definitions
What Skills Will Help You Be Successful:
- Data warehousing experience, preferably with AWS or GCP at a hyper-growth company
- Advanced SQL concepts such as window functions
- Proficient with Python or another programming language
- Experience with or awareness of dbtBI visualization and administration experience such as Looker or Tableau
- Familiarity with data pipeline platforms such as Fivetran or Stitch
- Awareness of orchestration tooling such as Dagster or AirflowAbility to read Ruby code is a plus
- Experience working with SaaS data such as Salesforce, Zendesk, etc is a plus
