- This role will play a critical role in our growth and will be responsible for targeting the top US Mid/Large Market ($50M-$500M GMV) level accounts that we’ve deemed the best fit for a partnership with Zip
- We need 5+ years of revenue quota-carrying, full-cycle B2B sales experience; 3+ years targeting top retail brands with a strong/functional understanding of payments, inclusive of BNPL, PLCC< acquiring, and checkout optimization

*About the role

As a new business ‘hunter’, you will be joining a seasoned team that owns the full sales cycle from prospecting to contracting and then to launch. You will penetrate and grow your assigned book, closing new omnichannel merchants for Zip with annual sales in the $50M - $500M range.

- Develop and execute a comprehensive account mapping plan and outreach strategy
- Craft compelling ROIs for merchants by assimilating our internal data and your insight into their business challenges, clearly articulating the value of adding Zip as their exclusive or additional BNPL provider.
- Utilize supporting functions such as demand generation, solutions, analytics, and marketing to build pipeline and close new business.
- Build Zip US brand awareness & create interest through attending industry events and tradeshows, pre-planning meetings with stakeholders of target accounts
*What you’ll bring to the team

- Proven Business Development: A track record of generating 8+ initial meetings per month through steady and nimble prospecting efforts
- History of Closing Large Opportunities: Repeated success in closing $50M to $500M+ revenue retail accounts based on a thoughtful sales methodology
- eCommerce Platform Expertise: 5+ years of revenue quota-carrying, full-cycle B2B sales experience; 3+ years targeting top retail brands
- Payments Experience: Functional understanding of payments, inclusive of: BNPL, PLCC, acquiring, and checkout optimization
- Actionable Merchant Network: Established network of retail and eCommerce executives to quickly initiate new partnerships and drive growth
- Data-Driven & Metrics-Focused: Comfortable leveraging Zip’s extensive data/metrics, robust tools and collaborative data scientists to refine strategies, optimize performance, convey value and close high-value deals
- Modern Sales Tools Proficiency: Skilled at leveraging sales tools and CRMs, such as ZoomInfo, Groove, Clari, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Salesforce, and AI tools like ChatGPT
- Nice to haves
- Knowledge of a retailer’s technology stack beyond checkout and payments
- Subject matter expertise in key retail categories relevant to Zip (e.g., apparel, footwear, electronics, home goods, entertainment and automotive)
- Familiarity with the consumer lending ecosystem

- Zip is committed to a straightforward and transparent pay structure. The actual base salary will be determined by various individualized factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, location, internal equity, as well as other objective business considerations.
The annual base Pay Range for this position is $112,000 to $140,000 USD. In addition, your quarterly commission plan will reflect a 50/50 fixed to variable compensation model such that total annual on-target earnings (OTE) will be $224,000 to $280,000. This range reflects our US national compensation band (USN). Additional premium percentages may apply based on our US compensation strategy.
Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
If hired, employees will be in an 'at-will position' and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
