Strategic Business Development and Adtech Lead.

We are a diverse advertising firm based in India, headquartered in Pune, with branches in Mumbai, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and Delhi. Our extensive portfolio includes prominent clients such as Anand Automotive Systems, Bank of Maharashtra, Bharat Petroleum, Force Motors, Indo Schottle, Indian Oil Corporation Ltd., KOEL Electric Pumps, Kirloskar Brothers Ltd., Sulzer, Spicer India Ptv. Ltd., and the National Insurance Academy.

As part of our growth strategy, we are venturing into the Adtech space in the UK and are seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager and Adtech lead to join our team.

The role will focus on new business generation by fostering strategic client partnerships, leveraging business intelligence, developing innovative ideas, delivering compelling pitches, negotiating trading deals, executing campaigns, and maximizing revenue share in the company to enhance its reputation in the market.
In this role, you will define, develop, and lead our new Ad Tech offering. You'll have the opportunity to collaborate closely with our internal teams and report directly to the company Director.

Key responsibilities:
New Business Development (50%)
Client Acquisition and Growth:

  • Research, identify, and engage with target organizations' potential clients and key decision-makers.
  • Conduct cold outreach as needed within current markets or new geographic areas to build a strong pipeline of opportunities.
  • Attend and participate in relevant industry events to network and establish connections.
  • Setting up meetings between client decision-makers and the company's practice leaders/directors.
  • Identify and leverage applicable opportunities for our services, including campaign development and distribution channels, that can drive revenue growth.
  • Understand and pitch the company's current offerings to potential clients, promoting the company as a partner of choice for end-to-end advertising and media solutions.

Proposal Development:

  • Collaborate with the team to develop and deliver tailored proposals and pitches that address the client's specific needs, concerns, and objectives.
  • Participate in pricing strategies for offerings, solutions, or services.

Pipeline Management:

  • Arrange and participate in internal and external client debriefs.
  • Collaborate closely with the Director and the team to effectively communicate the agency's offerings to clients while promptly addressing key opportunities and issues as they arise.

Adtech offering development (50%)

  • Identify current and future market opportunities in the ad tech industry, focusing on how our agency can build a unique, competitive offering.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and unmet needs to define the right niche for our ad tech service.
  • Provide analysis on emerging trends and markets and highlight the possible areas to target focus selling (geographical growth).
  • Develop a tailored ad tech solution that leverages our current offerings while addressing a clear need in the market.
  • Collaborate internally across multiple departments (creative, media, social, etc.) to ensure that adtech solutions are seamlessly integrated into the agency's list of offerings.
  • Identify and establish relationships with crucial ad tech vendors, platforms, or partners that align with our vision.
  • A deep understanding of social media and programmatic advertising.
  • Experience with digital media, ad tech, and automation tools (like Meta ads, Google ads, Google analytics, Data management platforms, etc.)
  • Leverage AI and machine learning to optimize advertising strategies and manage ad campaigns effectively.
  • Pitch and educate the ad tech offering to prospective and existing clients.

Your Experience:

  • 4 to 5 years of business development and pitching experience in an agency environment with a proven track record of winning.
  • Proven experience in the ad tech industry.
  • Experience working across multiple industry sectors and comfortable in the specifics of execution. (Branding, campaigns, exhibitions, events, conferences, road shows, government projects, social media, and OOH )
  • A team player with proven leadership qualities in both client and internal teams.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.

Desirable:

  • The existing pipeline of prospective clients.
  • Experience working across different time zones.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Advertising, Marketing (such as BA(Hons) in Marketing & Advertising Management), or a related field. A Master's or MBA degree is preferred.
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or marketing within the advertising or ad tech industry.

Role logistics:

  • Working hours: 48 per week Working days: Monday – Friday
  • Job Location: In Person - London, UK
  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Pay: £30,000.00-£45,000.00 per year BASE.
