Finance/Operations Lead at Social Venture SaaS Startup

About the position:

We’re hiring a Finance and Operations Lead as the first member of our finance/operations team. You’ll own the entire finance and accounting function from day-to-day operations through strategic finance tasks. You will report to the CEO and be a leader in the business, involved in critical organizational decision-making.

Primary responsibilities:

• Owning company-wide finance functions and deliverables including: financial planning, modeling, forecasting, cash management, AR/AP, financial planning & analysis, financial reporting
• Modeling financial impact of business decisions and translating financial data into actionable insights: proposing solutions, not just reporting numbers
• Managing bookkeeping staff (currently outsourced) to close the books every month
• Automating data collection and consolidation to streamline processes
• Streamlining and running HR operations like payroll processing, onboarding, offboarding
  
• Assisting with investor relations, board materials, and fundraising

You might be a good fit if you are/have:

• 4+ years of finance, accounting experience; or other analytical roles in a startup environment
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Good understanding of finance and financial modeling
• Familiarity with accounting software and financial systems
• Understanding and experience with SaaS startup financials
• Experience in a prior fast-growing startup or demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ambiguity
