SuperMoney is a back to back Deloitte Tech Fast 500 winner and four time Inc 5000 Fastest Growing Companies honoree. We are looking for an experienced Staff Accountant who will be responsible for maintaining financial records at the company.
Job Duties
- Collect revenue by verifying invoices and processing payments.
- Drive collection efforts for delinquent accounts.
- Pay invoices by verifying transaction information, scheduling, preparing disbursements, and obtaining authorization of payment while ensuring all payments are sent on time.
- Monitor and submit credit card payment on a periodic basis (when it reaches 50% of the credit limit).
- Enter accounting related information into business logs.
- Maintain accounting ledgers by posting account transactions.
- Verify accounts by reconciling statements and transactions.
- Code all credit card transactions on the GL.
- Perform monthly bank settlements.
- Review financial statements for accuracy and legal compliance.
- Inspect account books for efficiency and accuracy.
- Resolve account discrepancies by investigating documentation, issuing stop payments and adjustments.
- Organize and update financial records.
- Recommend ways to reduce costs and enhance revenue.
- Maintain financial security by following internal accounting controls.
- Prepare documentation for external auditors.
- Secure financial information and maintain financial historical records by filing accounting documents.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns.
Qualifications and Skills
- Must have proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise
- Excel (Vlookup, Pivot table, etc.)
- Must be a team player
- High degree of accuracy and great attention to detail
- Strong customer service skills
- Proficiency in arithmetic
Education and Experience Requirements
- Associate degree in Accounting
- Minimum of 4 years of AR/AP accounting experience
