Role Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic Partnerships lead to identify, establish, and manage a robust ecosystem of partners that drive business development and enhance our product strategy. This role is the first of its kind at Spruce, and will be essential in expanding our market presence and deepening relationships within our partner network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and cultivate a network of strategic partners that align with our business development goals and product strategy.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with partners, defining and executing strategies to leverage these connections for expanding our channels and market footprint.
  • Collaborate with a wide range of ecosystem partners, including:
  • Technology Partners (e.g., EHRs, integration platforms, PRM/CRM technologies)
  • IT Solutions Partners (e.g., IT services, business solutions, consulting services)
  • Channel Partners (e.g., distributors, agencies)
  • Deepen relationships with existing partners, ensuring ongoing collaboration, accountability, and mutual success.
  • Evaluate business needs, source, and qualify potential partners based on strategic alignment and value creation.
  • Qualify and onboard new partners, establishing shared objectives and initiating proof-of-concept or enterprise-level agreements where necessary.
  • Identify and manage opportunities for revenue expansion within partnership accounts, from early discovery through deal negotiation and contract finalization.
  • Work closely with sales, marketing, product, and engineering teams to develop and implement successful programs with priority partners.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on relevant marketplaces, technology platforms, competitive landscapes, industry trends, and emerging technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of at least 6–8 years in partnership management, business development, or strategic alliances in the healthcare industry
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, negotiate, and manage strategic partnerships that drive business growth, with a focus on execution and results
  • Understanding of the healthcare technology ecosystem; bonus points for having a solid understanding of clinical workflows, medical communication systems, and/or practice management technologies
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage at an executive level
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where context-switching is required
  • Entrepreneurial, self-motivated, and highly detail-oriented
  • Prior experience in healthcare/healthcare technologies (strongly preferred)
