Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator to join our dynamic team responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining IT systems and applications that support data management needs. In this role, you will ensure the database's architecture is secure, scalable, and performs reliably, while also providing production support and resolving database-related issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Design the database architecture and modeling strategies to ensure security, scalability, and reliable performance.
- Collaborate with the application development team to define the application data model, optimizing database operations.
- Act as the point of contact for principal vendors regarding software and hardware.
- Provide production support and resolve database-related issues, including after-office-hours support.
- Assist the application team with database-related matters, such as data patching, application deployments, and data extraction for reporting.
- Plan and strategize data mapping for migrating data from legacy systems, ensuring no data loss during conversion.
- Review data mapping, conversion, and integration specifications to ensure quality and adherence to modeling strategies.
- Ensure timely and accurate data synchronization during coexistence with legacy systems.
- Develop and maintain database-related codes and scripts, such as data sync scripts, data masking scripts, and stored procedures.
- Ensure the availability of database services and servers.
- Install and configure databases and associated products.
- Provide operational support, including:
- Performing database patches in accordance with the patch release cycle.
- Troubleshooting and remediating security vulnerabilities reported by security scans.
- Reviewing and maintaining database accounts.
- Monitoring and optimizing database performance, including query optimization and index creation.
- Capacity planning and configuring database backups.
- Ensuring database hardening according to authority standards.
What We Are Looking For
- Proven experience with Oracle, MSSQL, DB2, MySQL, Postgres, MariaDB, and MongoDB, including environment setup and management.
- Experience in setting up and managing databases in a high-availability active-active setup is a plus.
- Knowledge of PL/SQL scripting is an advantage.
- Familiarity with ETL processes and data coexistence technology with legacy systems is a plus.
- Understanding of database auditing and security measures is beneficial.
- Experience with data masking products is a plus.
