Our Culture:
At Chronicle Creations, each team member holds equity and is personally invested in the company’s success. We foster collaboration, creativity, and shared ownership. Further details about equity will be provided during the interview process.
What We’re Looking For:
We are seeking a Lead Artist & UX/UI Designer to join our team. This role will be primarily focused on art, but as we’re a startup, the ability to wear multiple hats is essential. You’ll also collaborate with Stace on UX/UI decisions to ensure a seamless user experience. Are you ready to shape a world where children’s imaginations run wild? Join us and bring your artistic vision to life in Dreambook!
Responsibilities:
Design and create characters, setting backgrounds, themes, and UI elements for the app.
Extend your designs to branding across promotional channels where Dreambook will be featured.
Collaborate with the development and design teams to ensure consistency in the visual style across the app and other media.
Contribute to UX/UI decisions alongside the Principal Software Engineer to ensure the app remains intuitive and appealing for young users.
Optimize art for mobile (iPad) devices, balancing performance with visual appeal.
What You’ll Need:
Exceptional artistic skills and a strong portfolio that demonstrates versatility and creativity in character and background design.
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Figma to apply your skills across various platforms.
Ability to collaborate on UX/UI design decisions and contribute to the overall user experience.
Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team while also taking initiative on independent creative tasks.
What We Offer:
We offer equity in the company through a shareholder agreement. As this is a startup, most team members balance their work on Dreambook with freelance or part-time jobs. Initially, we are looking for a commitment of 10-20 hours per week, with availability for meetings as needed. As the project progresses and we bring Dreambook to market, there will be opportunities for increased involvement.
We encourage interested candidates to visit our website at www.chroniclecreations.co to familiarize themselves with our team and vision.
