As a Software Engineer at Cherre, you will play a pivotal role in developing innovative real estate analytics and investment tools. Your focus will be on creating extensive geospatial and interactive data visualizations, along with the robust server-side infrastructure that supports them. You should be adept at building Single Page Applications (SPAs) and be passionate about leveraging cutting-edge technologies to enhance our platform. We utilize GraphQL, Python, Kubernetes, and advanced geospatial technologies, and we are committed to continuous integration and deployment practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Maintain Applications: Design and implement high-quality, scalable declarative applications using Python and Kubernetes, ensuring seamless user experiences.
  • Automate and scale data centric operations and process
  • API Design and Development: Design and develop REST APIs to facilitate smooth data exchange between client-side applications and server-side infrastructure.
  • Continuous Integration/Deployment: Collaborate with the team to implement CI/CD pipelines, ensuring rapid delivery of high-quality software.
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior engineers, sharing best practices and promoting a culture of learning and collaboration.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of Software Engineering experience: Proven track record in designing and building large-scale applications.
  • HIghly Proficient in Python and REST API and expertise in building dynamic, responsive applications.
  • Experience in Kubernetes custom resource definitions and highly extensible systems.
  • Experience building declarative systems.
  • API Design: Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
  • SQL and Postgres: 2+ years of experience working with relational databases.
  • Containerization: Proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes for application deployment and management.

Nice to have:

  • GraphQL and Relay: Experience with modern API query languages to enhance data fetching capabilities.
  • Startup Environment: Familiarity with the dynamics of early-stage startups and the agility required in such settings.

Benefits:

  • Competitive Base Salary: NYC - $80k-150K.
  • Tier 1 ($70k-110k) Tier 2 ($90k-120k) Tier 3 ($100k-150k) - This salary range will be reflective of different markets - geographic location and level skillset dependent.
