ABOUT THE ROLE

Peloton is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Taichung, Taiwan. The successful candidate will play a critical role in designing and improving final assembly testing and packing (FATP) lines, driving the proper balance between low-cost automation and improving line efficiency from an industrialization point of view. This role requires a strong background in industrial engineering, process optimization, and continuous improvement methodologies. Additionally, the role involves working with third-party manufacturers to design takt times and cycle times, understand line flexibility, and assess the should-cost of manufacturing equipment and manufacturing value added (MVA).

YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON

  • Line Design and Optimization:
    • Design, develop, and optimize FATP lines to enhance production efficiency, product quality, and cost-effectiveness, balancing low-cost automation and industrialization requirements.
  • Collaboration with Third-Party Manufacturers:
    • Partner with third-party manufacturing partners to ensure adherence to Peloton’s quality standards and production timelines in FATP operations.

  • Process Improvement:
    • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to identify and eliminate waste, reduce variation, and improve overall FATP line performance.
  • Industrial Engineering Expertise:
    • Apply industrial engineering principles to develop efficient workstations, workflows, and assembly processes for FATP, focusing on the balance between automation and manual processes.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:
    • Utilize data-driven approaches to monitor, analyze, and report on FATP line performance metrics. Implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • New Product Introduction (NPI):
    • Support the transition of new products from design to final assembly, ensuring that FATP lines are capable of producing at the required quality and volume.
  • Training and Development: Train and mentor production staff and junior engineers in advanced FATP techniques and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Compliance and Safety:
    • Ensure all FATP processes comply with industry standards and regulations. Promote a culture of safety within the manufacturing environment.
