About us

Marble is a fintech infrastructure startup, backed by VCs and Hexa.

We build a groundbreaking way to fight payment fraud, beginning by wire transfer fraud. Alongside, we also develop an open-source decision engine for banks, payment service providers and marketplaces.

We are based in central Paris and are expanding our team, having put the first customers in production.

Your job

Your job as a founding front-end engineer is to develop the client-facing application that our customers are using, in particular the decision engine’s rule builder and the case manager. You take full ownership of, and document your work (internally and customer-facing). You inform the technical choices of back-end developers, so that the API fits the needs of the product.

You have a real interest for the product: you build solutions from the ground up, you don’t just execute on someone else’s plan.

As a founding member of Marble, you have the potential or previous experience for a leadership role (including but not limited to people management). You play a key role in forging the culture of our technical team. You embrace the full spectrum of responsibilities as an individual contributor in this early stage and are happy to contribute beyond your domain of expertise - whether that means contributing to the front-end, data pipelines, client meetings, security process documentation or others.


Our tech stack: Go, Typescript, Postgresql, React+Remix, Github actions.

Core skills

  • You have strong programming skills with Typescript, React
  • You have a proven record in designing, building, debugging and maintaining complex front-end applications
    • Ideally, you have worked on applications with complex user interaction (data analytics tools are a good example)
  • You have an end-to-end understanding of the software stack
  • You have an entrepreneurial spirit, are biased towards action and think of customer value first
  • You have great written and oral communication skills. By default, you favor structured written communication and transparency.
  • You are fluent in English (oral and written)

Nice to have

  • You have worked with server-side rendering, ideally Remix
  • You have lived through the startup scaling experience, once or more
  • You feel comfortable doing minor contributions to the back-end when needed (you have touched some Go before, or are happy to learn)
  • You have an experience in fintech, payments, fraud or AML
  • You have contributed on Open-Source Software
  • You are available really soon !

  • A competitive salary of 60k-90k€, depending on your experience
