Founding Front-end engineer

We believe the greatest innovations come from using software to its fullest potential. But today, human-software interactions are often fraught with friction, leading to frustration and hesitation. Our goal is to elevate software use to a ‘happy place,’ where users are eager to engage, optimize, and explore their creativity without boundaries.

As part of Autoplay, you’ll work directly with the founders to build and refine the first version of our product. This involves answering critical questions like, “What should we build next?” and “What MVP will deliver value and excitement to our customers quickly?”

This October, we raised $2.1M in pre-seed funding led by Drive Capital (investors in Notion, Duolingo, Udacity, Voxel51), with participation from Betaworks (Hugging Face, Giphy, Bit.ly) and French VC firm Kima Ventures. We plan to raise a seed round in the next 12-14 months.

🏗️ Duties and responsibilities:

• Work alongside the CEO to determine the minimum viable product (MVP) for our beta users that will add value to our customers quickly, while creating a wow effect for our first batch of users
• Work with the founding team to design our Product Roadmap and determine which features to prioritize
• We are building front end AI Agents and your main goal will be to lay the foundation for allowing AI agents to navigate software UI better than a human - exciting right :)

📄 Requirements:

• Fluent in English
• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or related fields
• 4+ years experience as a front end engineer building and iterating products from 0 to 1
• Deep understanding of front end frameworks and ability to decompose and reconstruct the DOM
• Experience parsing DOM and manipulating the DOM

🎮 Preferred Skills:

• 4+ years experience in developing front end UI’s from 0 to 1
• Strong habits for establishing a clean front-end architecture of components
• Bonus: Full stack engineering skills and experience with AI technologies such as prompt engineering and vector databases
• Experience working with and utilising session replays
